Every other kettle I have owned I have had to wipe worktop after filling mugs but not with this one. It is also the quietest kettle I have ever had, can hold a conversation across the room whilst its boiling. A solid kettle with a good solid base that isnt such light plastic that it skitters on worktop when you remove the kettle from base.
