I love the striped pattern. We use this for our patio table. For the price, I wouldn't mind it if it only lasted for one summer, but surprisingly, it's still in good shape after a year. My children and I are fair skinned and needed the protection for digging and sitting and relaxing in the sand. I used the sand anchor that I purchased for it. We had it out and open for about 25 minutes when the wind ripped it out of the sand and the umbrella took off down the beach. It was not an particularly windy beach day. It went about 25 yards. The umbrella was broken. The skeleton of the umbrella was bent and/or broken. It's not worth the money. It is pretty sturdy, with heavier gauge metal for the support and ribs, and it is generously sized for a beach umbrella. I was looking for a smaller market type umbrella to use on a deck and this size works well. It comes with a carrying bag with a handle so you can easily transport or store it.
