Produces a very even light with no hot spots due to the diffuser. The goose neck retains its shape and stays where you put it. The base is heavy enough so the lamp does not topple over. The housing never gets hot because of the low power draw. The lamp is compact and doesn't eat up a lot of desk space.There is one problem, which some people may not care about. The white diffuser sticks out from the housing by about 1/8 inch. This produces a ring of light around the lamp housing which you can see even if the lamp is aimed away from you. I find it a distraction and somewhat annoying. If the diffuser had been flush or recessed, this would not happen.FIX- you can use a black magic marker and darken the plastic around the diffuser circumference. Or, since this lamp is black, you can run a strip of black electrical tape around the housing to cover the white plastic that protrudes. That's what I did. It works and is almost invisible. ### ⭐⭐ Too bright and not dimmable. Needs a shade. *by V***A on December 19, 2017* While I like how the lamp is flexible, It needs some sort of shade around the bright white light. The lamp is not dimmable and the bright white that you see in the picture is plastic covering the lights. It is so bright that we have to turn it away completely as not to hurt our eyes. Which defeats the point of the area on our desk that we are trying to light. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Natural and comfortable light *by A***R on December 6, 2017* I like the simple design style of the desk lamp. It uses LED bulb so the light is quite comfortable. The brightness is also good for reading.
