Oregon Scientific BAR218HGX Weather@Home Wireless Weather station with Bluetooth Connectivity

When it is working it is brilliant, it does lose contact with the external sensor occasionally. When you reset the main station to pick up the outside one again, you lose your link with your mobile which you need for history and time, so you have to set it up again. It is not alone in this and the repeated need for resetting these devices is irritating. The Bluetooth link to your mobile is a great idea but it often can’t find the phone. Also in spite of the main station being continuously in contact with the outside sensor, it only shows readings in the history for dates you have connected your phone. Why not show a continuous line of readings.

Great weather station, reads temperature, shows temp trends, moon phase and stays connected to the outside sensor. Just like my old Oregon weather station. Have given this pretty much 4 stars. Don't buy this if you want Bluetooth connectivity it's pants I'm know my way around tech and this has not once synced the time with my phone or anybody else's. Shows the temperature graphs when it feels like. Would be better if it did the time via radio like my old Oregon . Still it does show temperature reliably as long as you don't play with the Bluetooth.

Purchased this as a gift for my husband after his old weather station stopped picking up weather signals. Good replacement - doesn't have all the features the old did, but he probably did not use them anywhere.Only disappointment is the connection to the mobile phone app - it loses connection regularly, so you have to reconnect on a daily basis, which isn't a problem and is easy to do, just more annoying. You won't be able to check the weather whilst away from home.

Only shows barometric pressure via app not displayed on indoor display unit.Outdoor unit is not waterproof and has to be positioned in a dry place, out of direct sunlight for accurate readings (this is stated in the instructions).

My husband purchased this Oregon weather station for me late 2019. It came with batteries and worked to start with - although not perfectly. I have replaced the batteries several times - each it seems to be OK, but then it fails again and does not link up to the outside unit.I have tried and tried to get it working and want it either repaired or replaced. Unfortunately the instructions on how to return goods keep saying it cannot be returned - although it is still within the year's warranty.I feel badly let down - especially by Amazon - whose system does not allow for proper explanation and a sensible outcome.Elizabeth Simm (Mrs)

As a stand-alone station this is about our 4th. They only last about 5 years. This is ok, takes a couple of days to settle in, but ok after that. Big disappointment is that the is reluctant to work across multiple devices (Apple). It works fine, then some else opens the app on a separate device and the first one plays up.

Had many over the years tend to last around 5 or years this was the easiest to set up and digital read outs very clear. However this item would be even better if the controls to find out daily rainfall etc were aT THE FRONT INSTEAD OF THE BACK

A slightly different version of my old Oregon weather station that recently gave up the ghost. It lasted not far short of 10 years and performed reliably apart from having to replace the sender. I anticipate this new one will live up to the standards of its predecessor.
