Review: Amazing book! - This book is in great condition, and it only took five days to get here. The price is affordable, which is one of the reasons why I'm so proud of my purchase. It has 127 pages in it, and it has many examples of how to draw mannequins/bodies, clothing, hair, faces, and accessories. Towards the end of the book, it has several templates that you can trace, which I find very helpful because I'm not the best artist, but I have a strong love for fashion and designing clothes. I recommend this for anyone who loves to draw or has an interest in fashion. I'm seventeen, and I loved this! It also instructs you on how to draw different textures. I barely got this book today, and I already learned a lot. Review: great for aspiring fashion designers artists - After a long visit to a book store out of town my daughter did not want to put this book down. She put it on a list for Christmas of course we did not buy it there because we knew we could get it on desertcart with out her finding out and possibly a better deal and we got both. When I was at the book store with her I just flipped through the pages and said that looks really nice. Did not pay that much attention in the store at it. We have purchased so many of these books and sets as well. After receiving this I of course done a good look through at it. My wife being an art lover enjoyed this one as well and understood why my daughter wanted it so bad! Lately we have been running accross the style drawing books that your child decorates the clothes on the dolls body which is already drew and then you have those boring step by step books with no flare to bore you to death. With a child that is way past those steps it is hard to keep them enjoying what they like to do when they are not inspired. This book is great for inspiration. Well we think it is for our daughter. She is not allowed to get into the TV drama stuff so what she likes is what she learns fom books. She also likes to make her designs to doll size designs and actually sew them into doll clothes for her American girl dolls. Anyway back to this wonderful book It is worth every penny and alot more. This one shows: creating texture, drawing techniques, color basics a color wheel, fashion terms, fashion textures, Figure proportions, poses heads hands .......... so much more. Then it gets into fashions from new styles to some vintage styles. Also body templates. All I can say is I think once she gets this she will be busy for a long time with it. I am glad she found it. The flare in the book was very inticing and the styles were wonderful. This would be a great book for any age. My daughter is 10 but I could see young adults even enjoying if it was something they wanted to get into.

what a wonderful gift!
I would recommend this product to anyone who has a child interested in fashion design! I am very excited to see my daughter's face when she opens this gift Christmas Morning! I took a look through the pages before I wrapped it and I was very impressed by the quality and the wealth of fashion design information. I'm no professional, but this sure looks like a great tool to further someone's interest and talent!

Best find ever for my junior fashionista!
This book was even better than the preview showed!!! I gave it to my eight-year-old niece for her birthday. She loves drawing and sketching clothes. She goes through this book every day and started taking it to bed with her to read every night. When I go in to check on her after she falls asleep, this book is next to her on her pillow. She also uses the model form sketches in the back to create her own fashion drawings. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good step-by-step drawing/project guide.

Nice book
Bought this as a present for my 6 year old niece who is into drawing fashion. I thought it may be too advanced for her, but it had good reviews and thought I'd try it. I went through the book when I got it and I think it's event too advanced for me. You never know what a kid is capable of and how they will use there imagination with it so I'm still going to give it too her. I think it would be a great book for a teen who has better fine motor skills for drawing and is into designing clothes for women.

the book is a good starter
the book goes into small detail on how to draw a figure. it show pictures of eyes and brows, lips, hands, faces and profiles, but it does not go deep into how to draw them. it tells you to start your figures with stick drawing and from there you add the other details of the human body. not easy if you're someone who cannot draw a shaply leg, arm, hand or head. the book is nice, but it what it saids it is, tips.

Teaches CONCEPT! Wonderful!
This is more like a text book, but very easy to follow. My 9 year old daughter LOVES it. She's just starting to dabble in fashion sketches, and what's great about this book is that it breaks it down step-by-step. It's not just a collection of blank bodies to color (there are no stencils, stickers, etc.). It actually teaches you HOW to draw the bodies and faces, emphasizing proportion and scale. It has lots of vibrant examples to use for inspiration, but it's really about teaching you the concepts of design sketches. Highly recommended! Great quality.

I looked awesome. Long
8-year-old LOVES it. I was worried that it would be a skill-level that was would be too high and, therefore, discouraging, but she has really stepped up to the expectations. I got it with a pad of tracing paper and she is tracing the designs and even starting to combine parts of different designs and making her own creative works. Yesterday, she made a family portrait by assembling different garments pictured in the book. I looked awesome. Long, thin legs and great hair. Love this book!

I bought this for my neice who although is only 10 years old she is mature for her age and already very interested in fashion designing. I saw this and thought it might be a good option for a presen,t along with My Style Studio: Design and Trace Your Own Fashions by Klutz. It arrived quickly and when I opened it I was thrilled, it exceeded my expectations. It contains everything a budding fashion designer could wish for. Wonderful illustrations, ideas, comments, patterns and full of modern outfits, not dated at all. My neice loves it and she can't wait to show me her new projects each time I see her. It has been the perfect gift for her and actually I am a little envious as I would quite like to have one of my own. I would recommend this product.

my daughter liked it

We surprised our 9-year old daughter with this fashion design guide book. She had several similar books before and loves them, considering that she reckons her future occupation will be in fashion design. And I must admit her drawing and designs are getting progressively impressive. This book goes a little further than just playful craft. It's actually quite professional aimed at those with a serious interest in fashion design. Other than just models and dresses that can be coloured-in this book serves as an introduction to the fundamentals of fashion figure drawing. Out daughter particularly appreciated that the book also learned her to draw sketches of the human body. But there are overview of a large amount garment styles and variants. Through a stepwise approach a broad selection of styles is presented. Shoes, hats, and other fashion accessories are addressed as well. There is a fashion glossary in the back. And chapter 6 provides a series of fashion figure templates that can be copied for the young reader’s own designs. Very good almost semi-professional book, much better and of a higher level than expected.
