Sturdy, well made, attractive, functional - just what I needed.
I never thought I would be so happy with the purchase of a hamper. I used to have a walk in closet, but recently downsized and a laundry basket on my bedroom floor was unsightly and a bit smelly. After comparing all the various options, including high end furniture types, I decided to try this less expensive hamper since it had high reviews. I was initially concerned about the magnet top because I thought it would be flimsy and cumbersome and flop around. The back of the top is velcro and stays put well. The body and top are substantially sturdy and heavy and nothing about this hamper is flimsy. You could probably use it as a nightstand. The bottom of each side has a zipper so you could probably empty in that manner although I haven't had it long enough to get to that stage. The brown is very attractive and has flecks of tan and is a bit textured. I was worried it would be smooth and show pet hair, but that is not the case.

Hides laundry? Check! Sturdy enough? Check! Two slots to separate clothes? Check!
I was not expecting much from this hamper... the price was stopping me from getting something that looked like it could be made of flimsy cardboard. I was wrong. I was very surprised at how heavy the package was when it arrived. I opened it right away and it took 60 seconds to set up. It is very sturdy compared to what I thought it would be... you can't stand on it but you can have folded laundry on top and when it gets full you don't have to worry about it tipping over. I was tired of having dirty laundry just sticking out like a sore thumb in the white plastic basket. It's embarrassing when 4 days go by and the laundry looks like it hasn't been done in weeks. We don't have a laundry room as you can see in the pics, so I wanted some thing that would hide the laundry and look nice, while having a second slot to have my husband throw his "special" cotton shirts in so they don't get mixed in with the regular laundry and get shrunk in the process. So now those shirts go on the left with my clothes and his work clothes go on the right side where I don't have to worry about his dirty clothes touching my delicates. :) Win Win Win! I am very surprised on the minimal options of laundry baskets out there that either $80 and not that attractive, or are not attractive at all and cheaply made. I wanted something that I can have out since I don't have a laundry room and this was the middle option and I am happy with it. Check out the pictures... I seen a picture of a girl standing in it and I figured it was definitely big enough. So I just took a couple regular pictures. The lid Velcros on but it's strong Velcro and I haven't had it budge yet. (Please don't mind the room we are fixing up the house to sell it, which is why I chose the grey color. The surrounding rooms are now grey and so will that room. And a sliding barn door to finally cover the appliances that I lived with for 7 years like that... your welcome to whoever buys the house. Lol sorry about the outburst but I had to get that off my chest.)

Served me well for 9 years
I purchased this hamper nine years ago. For the most part it has served me well. The color matches the product photos (not sure why that one review said it's green, it's definitely what I would describe as "coffee"). It's a good size and fits clothes with room to spare by the time I get to laundry day. It has never smelled weird, looks good, and has a divider inside to separate clothes. I like that the lining is plastic, rather than cloth, so it doesn't pick up smells or dampness. The magnetic closure is a nice idea but in practice doesn't really seem necessary. I would have no issue recommending this hamper to others, unless you have cats. I have had four different cats over the lifespan of this hamper and all of them have seemed drawn to scratching it. This is the main reason I'm now replacing it, as the exposed corners have been shredded. The cats also love jumping on top of it, but the lid is not quite sturdy enough to hold them so it ends up caving in and freaking them out (you'd think they'd learn by now). So, this is a serviceable hamper, but probably best to go with a different material if you have cats.

Perfect Hamper, Stylish and Efficient
When my wife and I were in the market for a new hamper, we had a few requirements: - large enough to hold at least 2 weeks of clothes - separate compartments for light and darks - each compartment should have a detachable mesh bag to be able to transport easily - easy to clean - stylish enough to leave in the bedroom and not be an eye sore Glad to say this little hamper meets all of these requirements! It is made of a very soft material, but also is able to stand up quite well without falling apart like a mesh hamper. There are two compartments, separated by a piece of cardboard that stands vertically down the center. Each compartment has separate mesh bags that are held in place by velcro. I am amazed at how well it keeps its structure without collapsing. The top is magnetic, so the top cannot just fall into the hamper and doesn't fall off to the side of the hamper. I'd have to say my favorite component is the detachable bags which makes transporting clothes to the laundry room very easy.

Decent hamper
I have had this unit for about 3 years and overall it has held up alright. After 3 years of standard use the exterior and bottom have not torn any of the material. To be picky if you dump it upside down the bottom panel pops out. The only point of concern is the trim around handle holes. It held up for a few months but the handles are made of 2 pieces of metal help together by some small tabs, they slowly split and fall off. It has not been a deal breaker, but it would be nice if they had survived. I still think its a good hamper and most of my satisfaction comes from the ease of setup and the it just seems to be the right dimensions for me.
