Crystal Jewelry Creations: Over 30 Stunning and Original Projects Featuring Sparkling Crystal Beads

I buy a lot of jewelry books for ideas and inspiration and while some of the ideas in this book are gorgeous, for some reason overall it didn't completely wow me.The project ideas in this book are very varied in terms of type of project (necklaces, bracelets, accessories, etc.), type of technique and skill level needed.The great thing is that the instructions are VERY detailed. The materials needed are clearly spelled out and leave little guesswork. The Swarovski elements are listed with their SKU numbers so they can be easily found and other materials such as chain, wire, jump rings etc. have the exact size needed listed.The projects are organized by themes with incorporate both color schemes & style:Soft & PrettyBright & BoldCool & ChicDark & DangerousPale & ElegantRich & WarmSea & ShoreTutti FruttiEach theme section has one main project which is shown with detailed step-by-step instructions and 2-3 others that have instructions in the back.As I mentioned, the techniques used are varied. There are projects that require bead weaving, wire work, bezel work, and hot fix crystals just to name a few.The pictures are stunning and really capture the brilliance of the crystals.This book gets 4 stars from me instead of 5 only because of the 30 projects, there are only a few that really wow me. I'm not a fan of the entire Sea & Shore section (it is just not my taste) and since I don't usually make accessories, the tiara, hair combs and key chain charm aren't personally of interest to me. While I like the ideas in this book, it isn't my most reached for.If you work a lot with Swarovski crystals, you should try out this book as the projects are varied enough you are sure to find at least a few that inspire you.

This book contains a wide variety of techniques all utilizing swarovski crystals. There are a lot of pretty designs, easy enough for beginners. From simple stringing, beadweaving, wirework, and gluing flatback crystals. Most designs can be accomplished by using commen elements. Extensive section at the back of the book on the basics of jewelry making, which is a must for beginners. All in all, great for beginners.

WOW, I love this book.. from the moment I opened it I was smiling! There are so many Beautiful Projects.. wonderful for gifts and to make for yourself. There are real girly sparkly jewelry desings...personally this is what I like and the projects give me so many new ideas. The pictures are vivd and clear and the instructions are very good... even someone just starting beading I think will manage this book fine....The colors in the designs are so pretty to. The book arrived in NEW condition and I bought it used. LUV IT!! I have read the whole thing and worked a project.. I couldnt be happier and its a wonderful addition to my Jewelry Book Collection...

Buy this book if your new to beading if you are an intermediate or advanced beader you don't need it cheers
