King Size 2 inch Topper

My wife thought we should have a firmer mattress for our next bed. After spending what I considered a whopping amount of money, the two of us, as side sleepers, hated the new bed. We were sore each morning. I tried a down pillow top that was around three inches thick and it helped. But not enough. I then bought this item and placed it on top. Although the bed is quick thick now with 16 inch pockets, we love it! The best of both worlds since the pillow top and the gel memory foam work well together and the mattress below serves as a firm base. Our own hybrid.

I waited awhile to review this just to make sure it didn't improve with time or that we'd get used to it. Yah; never happened. I just ordered a replacement and am using this for dog beds. I am hoping that at least they'll like it. This is a squishy, HOT mess. First off- mine was way-oversized. It hung over my king sized bed by two inches. As a result sheets NEVER stay on. I failed to try to return it promptly so I took out my good sewing scissors- an hour later I had a gazillion pieces of foam on the floor, blisters on my hand and an uneven edge. Which, yep, the sheets still stick to. Every night I have to pull the sheets down (I have the deepest sheets I can find.) You also sink into this- there is no support. If you have an incredibly hard bed maybe this is a plus- but I have a "normal" bed and wake up with joint pain. (Our bed is new but the tufting is too deep and the buttons too large; this was to smooth out the surface.) My husband literally cannot sleep in it- his back pinches terribly. And lastly it is the opposite of cooling. I have Tempurpedic pillows- those do cool and you can feel it. This does the opposite for me- I lowered my AC temp a couple of degrees this summer to compensate waking up in a sweat. What. A. Waste of Money.

This mattress topper is thick and adds comfort BUT it does not cool as discribed through the night. The first night I used it initially Felt cooler at first but woke up multiple time absolutely roasting. I purchased it based on the reviews stating it cooled from others who experience hot flashes. So a bit disappointed, otherwise it’s thick soft, has no smell like some other memory foams

This is a nice mattress, but in my opinion, a bit soft. It doesn't take as much pressure as it should before you hit the surface underneath. If this makes sense...I would rather push on it with my hand and not be able to feel the surface underneath, but be cradled just above it. I do not notice a cooling effect at all; quite the contrary, I find it hot. To counteract the heat, I use a cotton mattress pad on top of it. It's OK for the price, but not quite up to the quality it should be for that price range.

Before I got a new mattress 2 years ago, I didn't know what the heck people were talking about when they'd say the bed "sleeps hot." Now I know, and I bought this. The color makes it seem like it should be in some way cooling. I have had it for over a year and have not found a clear benefit. It may even be hotter now. Also, it slides easily.

This item replaced another topper. There was no smell and it popped up to full 2 inches in a matter of around an hour. My husband says now he sleeps through the night, he had not been sleeping through the night on the old topper. I have some problems from old injuries to my back, but I sleep without pain on this topper.

It arrives with a corner ripped off. Strong paint smell. Seems to be expanding out quickly. We'll see how it sleeps.***Update**** Definitely does not sleep cool.

I bought this topper in 2019. It lasted less than a year before it molded into our bodies and created sink holes and we are not heavy people. I rotated every month. I would not recommend.
