I purchased this to record verbal reminders to myself while driving, since I'm in the car a lot so writing things down isn't practical. It picks up voices and other sounds/music well, and has a built-in [automatic] noise-filtering feature.As simple as it is to use (just flip it "on" and it starts recording within a few seconds), I was impressed the instruction manual is so detailed, clearing up any possible questions.It picks up voices BEST that are within a few feet of the device. As a test, I walked into other rooms in the house to see how well it would pick up my voice from further away. It did pretty well, although once a voice is more than a few feet away, it will start to sound like it's in a box... kind of hollow/distant, but still intelligible when played back as long as you have the volume turned up.I haven't tried the earbuds that came with it, preferring instead to play things back on my laptop (it comes with a short USB-to-3.5mm cable).Recharging it is simple -- just make sure it's turned "off", and plug in the USB to your laptop or any charger that accepts USB.Bottom Line: Given it's tiny size (it's actually smaller than in the photos... the size & weight of a flash drive), it doesn't record the best sound ever, but it does quite an impressive job. If you're going to use it to record lectures, I suggest sitting in the front rows(s) for best results.

Overall performance, this is great, the size is great. Iam however disappointed because it says 8hrs continuous recording only to find out that it only records up to 4hrs. I went to training for 3 days and used these 2 recording device, charged the Battery from night until the next day. Does not record for 8hrs...Max 4hrs. 😔

Takes a few minutes to figure it out after reading the instructions, however it is so simple to use that it really is not complicated. I have only had it for a short while, love the small compact size, it was inexpensive, and sound quality is good enough for voice recordings. Very convenient because it can be carried in any pocket.

This recorder is an amazing little helper that I never knew I needed! Smaller than I had anticipated but not in a bad way...it just makes it that much more convenient to carry in a small purse. I have only had occasion to use it a handful of times so far but on those occasions it was very helpful I have only really used it for recording things I need at the store and almost like a journal but also at a doctor's appointment for a family member so we didn't forget anything important and so that a different family member could listen and understood what happened during the visit. Earphones are surprisingly durable as well. Very happy with my purchase.

My expectations were not super high when I bought 7 of these to record a varity of rooms during certain days. But I was impressed with the sound quality. Talk about simple to use! Charge, slide switch and you're recording. For many hours. I think most of these little guys have the same size battery, but these lasted us ALL DAY, like 12-13 hours. They all still had juice when I transferred the files. I will say they are tiny, like usb thumbdrive tiny. I was expecting larger, but tiny is fine with me! Happy with my purchase.

I really like how this is so tiny. It is the size of a usb drive, but kind of skinnier. The led light is at the end of the recorder. Although the sound isn't as clear, the product in it's entire self is great!

I do like this device except one thing... It says 8gbs but only allows one recording at a time. Doesn't make sense.

This recorder was compact, can be discreetly carried and easy to use. Also reasonably priced Would recommend.
