Dewalt Extreme Masonry Drill Bit 5 x 85mm,suitable for masonry, brick, stone, tiles & light concrete

I needed just 1 extra long drill. This was perfect and did an excellent job. Not surprising as it's a quality make which we stocked where I used to work.

Good drill bit genuine DeWalt

I've had great difficulty drilling into the walls to put up curtain poles using a cordless hammer drill, tried bosch bosch X line drill bit set (50 pcs) but it took a very long time to get any progress after the first 1.5cm into the masonry wall. Also tried the DeWalt DT6952-QZ Stone Drill Cylindrical Bit Set but found that to be the same as the bosch bits. Thought I'd try this drill bit due to the positive reviews especially regarding drilling into very hard masonry, and it was definately much better than those stated above and was able to do the job in a MUCH shorter time, although it did still take effort. If anyone has similar problems, what i did was to hammer a cheaper same-size drill bit into the hole (one you dont mind wasting- the tip does get worn as it strikes the wall), remove and then use this drill bit again and repeat until you get to your desired depth. The negatives are that it is quite expensive (this single piece is almost the same price as the DeWalt set above) and also this item is available only as an add-on so you have to spend £20 on Amazon to be able to buy it (other sellers available but don't provide free next day delivery as you would get with prime)

As advertised. Did the job, no problem

These DeWalt Drill Bits are very good and very sharp and makes drilling into even the hardest of Bricks an absolute ease even with a Cordless Hammer Drill, I reckon when paired with a standard DeWalt Electric Hammer Drill (Not SDS) that these Drill Bits will be absolutely fantastic and fly through Brick with no issues whatsoever
