Things happen - Its what the seller does that's important
We ordered this item in February and was very happy with it. April 27th it quit working and we really needed it for an event coming May 1st. I contacted Amuteck that Saturday with little hope of hearing from them for a few days. I received an email from Grant at Amuteck that same Saturday afternoon. His suggestion for an immediate resolution was for me to repurchase the heating pad and he would refund the purchase. Needless to say I was a little skeptical but I really needed to have the heating pad so I did repurchase and sent Grant the confirmation. I immediately received the Amazon confirmation about receiving the order and within 20 minutes I had an email from Grant stating that he had refunded the purchase and I could check my account. I did so and as he promised, the refund was made and verified. A couple of days later I get an additional $2 discount. (above and beyond) I know this is supposed to be a product review but there are two parts to a product review. First is the actual product and second is the people that stand behind it. I realize that electronics fail. I have pulled items out of the box DOA, or plugged them in only to have them immediately smoke and quit working. Things happen.. As for the product, it is very nice. It's big, it's soft and the pad seems to be well stitched and the connection to the controller is solid. I like the idea that the pad can be washed (they recommend only once a year). The controller obliviously did what it was supposed to do in the event of some electrical failure. It ceased to function thereby protecting the user. I know why it quit working but I don't know the source (for several reasons I will not go into how I know or why) . As for the company , they showed to me they are honest, dedicated and genuinely concerned about their customers and the product(s) they represent. Good job Grant.. Amuteck ...and Amazon.. Bob Moody

Responsive customer service.
****2nd Update**** So, I reached out to Anbber thru Facebook. They responded within 24 hours and replaced my unit within a week. Very happy with their responsiveness and quick solution. I have a new heating pad that is working perfectly. My only minor quibble is that the power cord can pull out of the pad a bit too easily. I wish it were a firmer connection that could not be accidentally uncoupled. ***Update*** It’s now November 6 and the unit has quit functioning properly. I turn it on, set it at 2, as usual, and it comes on and begins to heat up. In less than ten minutes, it is cold and the controller is flashing F. Yes, i have disconnected both ends of the power cord and reinstalled them, multiple times. Same error. I don’t have the package anymore and can’t find an email address for the seller. Please help, Anbber!! Do other people buy these for their birthday?? Getting older isn’t for sissies. I use this almost every night in bed. I don’t turn it up any higher than three. Love the large size. The connector sometimes irritates me when I roll on it but it’s pretty flat. Not much to complain about. I’ve been using it for about two months. The cover is quite soft and isn’t pilling or showing the least bit of wear.

Lasted 3 days over the return date then died.
Bought this on 21 January 2020,it was delivered on 23 Jan and 3 days after the last day to return (today, 25 Jan) , it died. Gone. Kaput. It lives no longer. I will say that it’s a VERY generous size, it heated up quickly ( and got a little too hot in my opinion) and the material is very soft. But I’m trying to figure out why I’d give it any more stars than the 1 I’ve given it if it only lasts 1 month and 4 days! Do yourself a favor and pass on this one. Go to the local store that carries heating pads and get one there. I bought one 2 years ago and it’s still perfect. Perfect! ** An update: Amazon was GREAT about the return. The representative I spoke with was very understanding and as it was only 3 days past the return date she told me to send it back after she sent a return merchandise authorization. I have to say that 98% of the time when I call Amazon with a problem with something they are just wonderful about helping me. Their customer service is outstanding and this is from the perspective of a woman who spent her entire career with an major airline at various airports in front line customer service. So 98% is pretty good, I’d say.

What the F?
This pad is nice and large. I purchased it as a replacement for one my dog decided looked delicious. The pad iteslef, is well constructed and soft. *Update* It appears I received a defective product. Two days after informing the seller of the issue I was sent a replacement. So far, no "F." The problem I immediately ran into was the length of the power cord. It is far too short and diminishes the value of the product. I have a king bed and the outlet is on the far side of a side table. This has proven to be too substantial an obstacle for the cord to overcome, so I will need to purchase an extension cord. The next problem is the dreaded "F" flashing. This apparently means the plug is not pushed into the outlet far enough..?? Well, I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I am thinking there is a correlation to the first problem... But trial and fsil again x4... So far I have been able to get it like warm before the "F" flashes and it shuts down. Plug it in, starts again, heats for a few minutes and the "F" returns. What the F??? Is there a solution or do I have a defective product? Is it really the result of the outlet? I plug it in and don't touch it.. then it flashes F again. Out of the box and a fail so far. Does the "F" mean fail?
