I've had this jacket for a while, and yes it's heavyweight, but it's not exactly winter-ready. I say this because even during the first time I tried this, it was VERY obvious that there were differences in the density of the lining between the torso and the arms meaning that my arms got cold real fast. Another problem that became evident was that the lining within the torso themselves weren't as thick as they should be to claim being a "winter" jacket. I walked around when it was kind of windy, and I definitely felt wind passing through the jacket around my ribs. I guess this is a case of "you get what you pay for." I still like it for the looks, but I definitely cannot recommend it during actual winter when it's mid 30s*F (<1.6*C) or below.

Love the look of this but I have another similar jacket which is much much warmer than this one. I live in MN and If you're looking for something to wear out and about in cold weather, this may not be the product for you. However, in milder temps (20+ degrees) the jacket works well.Also, the jacket is prone to "pilling" where it gets all the little bumps you have to peel off the front. Aside from those two downsides, I really like it. Fits well, looks nice and is purposeful in milder winter conditions.

Perrfect heavy yet last ght coat for a week on Iceland (just wish it had come witha pokcetnfull of sunlight! Marvelously warm in galeforce winds off the Greenland Sea. Ugh.

It's warm and comfortable. My complaint is both pockets are ripped from the package. The corners of both pockets on the outside are tied and have holes in it.

Jacket doesn't have inside pockets and is lighter than expected.

Went outside in 20 weather and I was warm and the jacket was very comfortable.
