Well-made notebook with lovely paper at an unbeatable price.
I purchased this notebook after seeing it recommended by Wirecutter, and I'm not disappointed! It is certainly better than a Moleskin and IMO rivals the Leuchtturm1917 in terms of quality, at a much lower price. CONS: Page Format - This is the only real complaint I have with the notebook, and it's quite a nitpick. I wish that the ruling was more narrow (6mm vs 7mm) and extended the entire way across the page. I have small handwriting and like to fill the entire page as efficiently as possible. I will probably buy the grid version next time. PROS: - Paper quality - This is always subjective, but I find this paper very pleasant to write on. It has a very fine grain, and is well-suited for use with a fountain pen. I haven't encountered any bleed-though, and have been pleasantly surprised at how little ghosting there is, even with an alcohol-based fineliner. - Construction - The notebook has a nice-feeling cover, and paper edges are flush. The notebook is also section-sewn (12 groups of sewn pages are glued into the binding) which means that it lies flat fairly well and doesnt constantly try to shut while sketching or laying the notebook open. This is a soft-cover notebook so you will generally want to have something backing it while writing, but the cover is sturdy enough to write without a support in a pinch. - Price - The biggie for me is the price. Are there notebooks that I like better? Yeah, probably. I adore the Tamoe River paper found in the Hobonichi notebooks, but those notebooks also cost more than twice as much. In conclusion, I am very happy with this notebook, and would recommend it to anyone strange like me that cares about nice stationary. Thanks for reading, & hope this review was helpful! Great paper
I saw this paper/notebook in a video as a recommend so I bought it and it did not disappoint at all. The Apica Premium paper is great. As far as notebook construction goes, this notebook is no frills. No pockets, no place-marker ribbons. Just a cover and ruled paper, which I actually like as it helps keep the price down. The pages leave a good blank space at the top of the page before the ruling lines start to allow for any header you might want to put on it. The paper itself is excellent. I had no feathering or bleed through issues and fountain pen inks really pop on it. My fountain pens glide on the page, no abnormal feedback issues. I'm a big fan of the paper. I have filled one of these up and actually I need to order another one soon!

Excellent Quality and Price
I absolutely love this Apica Premium CD Notebook. This is an A5 size with 7 mm ruled lines. The paper is a lovely cream and the lines are a faint gray. I also have this notebook in the grid design and live that too. This paper is fountain pen friendly, which is very important to me. As you can see from the photos below, there is no ghosting except very faintly where i did a heavy splotch of ink. I now have 3 if these in two different sizes and recommend them highly. Premium look, feel and quality for a very reasonable price.

Good not great!
I purchased this notebook because I got sick of paying $25 dollars for Moleskins. Undecided if I will keep purchasing versus Moleskins. I do think the paper quality in these notebooks are excellant.

Smooth, satiny paper that won't bleed ink
Smooth, satiny paper that doesn't cause fountain pens to bleed ink. The Japanese (and the French) make the best paper! It just feels good to write on it.

Excellent daily driver
I use this notebook as my daily work notebook/journal. Excellent paper, feels very smooth and doesn't show ink through the back (I use a plain ballpoint pen). Opens fully flat at almosy any page because it uses a lot of small blocks of leaves. The only pages that don't easily open fully are those between blocks because of the binding glue. I don't find that to be a big deal. Love the accent color in the stitching for each block. The only negative I have is that this notebook is thicker than I wanted. This is my fault for not checking the physical dimensions. I was estimating thickness based on number of pages. The paper in this book is a little thicker than other notebooks, but that just adds to the premium feel.

Best notebook for fountain pen
This is the smoothest paper I’ve ever felt. Perfect for my daily journal entries written with my Pelikan or Lamy fountain pen. The pages do not bleed, and my pen glides across the page. So happy I tried this notebook. Even better than my beloved spiral-bound Mnemosyne notebook because the paper is a little smoother. Will be buying more.
