much better then OEM
Seems to be a well made switch, much better then OEM . . . very little play in the key mechanism and like the weatherproof boot. BE CAREFUL WITH THE WIRING, however: has three red wires, one with no stripe is to battery, then it has two others, one with a grey stripe and one with a black stripe. If your existing switch is configured the same as this replacement (Off, Ign, Lights) then match the grey and black stripes to your existing wiring. If your existing switch is different like mine on my 1997 Harley FXDS (Off, Acc, Ign), then switch the wiring so that the grey stripe on the key switch goes to the black stripe on your bike, and the black stripe on the switch goes to the grey stripe on the bike. Learned this the hard way!

Complete junk
Do not buy biggest piece of junk I have ever seen no instructions when I took the plastic off the back it just fell apart in my hands once I did get it put back together one of the clips was broke so I had to tape it back together try to put it in the motorcycle and it's too big for the mounting bracket supposed to be at exact fit if you're not buying from these sellers

Nice switch
,Bought this for a 2005 suzuki ozark which used the three wire, three position switch configuration. OEM suzuki switch was over 70 bucks. Bought bike used and it had a cheap auto store car ignition switch on it. When you turned on ignition lights came on also. Works great with this little switch. One position for ignition, next for ignition with lights. Took a few minutes of playing with to get wires matched to the suzuki wires. Key locks in when in the ignition or ignition/lights mode so no worries about losing it while riding. Nice rubber boot and wire covering to help keep the h2o out. Comes with a switch position with adhesive back. Adhesive is ok but probably would not last. Luckily it is cutout to switch perfectly and held down by switch lock nut. Not sure about long term use or how it works in its specified application, but it saved me over 50 bucks.

Great replacement part.
I put this on my 2006 Xl1200c Sportster. The original ignition burned out and the bike wouldn't crank. This one went on well, but TEST THE LEADS before you install it. The hot line was solid red, but the red/gray red/black were backwards. I just cut them with one at the O Terminal, and then one 4" shorter, and 4" shorter on the last, then connected them with butt splices and heat shrink. I haven't had a single issue since.

Cost effective
I liked that it was very close to the original part, meaning it could have been threaded a little longer, also I had to work the key a bit I couldn't get it to go right in out of the box but works great now

DO NOT BUY THIS CHEAP IGNITION REPLACEMENT
Bought this ignition twice now and I'm writing this review to warn others not to ever buy it!!! The first time I purchased it the bearings or whatever are in the ignition broke, I'm assuming from vibrations from my Harley, and the key wouldn't come out of the ignition and I had to get a new one. The second time I bought it the key fell out during a few thousand mile road trip and luckily I had the spare with me or I would have been shit out of luck on the side of the road at the gas station where I filled up and noticed it was gone. I thought the first one might be a fluke and didn't think of asking for a refund but I'm going to email and ask for a refund for both now! I'd put zero Stars if I could!
