OWC General Servicing Kit for Apple iMac 2007 and Later Models

replacing a hard drive and RAM chips in an imac.

I bought this to allow me to change the hard disk in a late 2012 IMac using instructions on YouTube. The box comes with a collection of different items all of which are needed to remove the screen, undo the various parts and boards and the replace the screen using the supplied adhesive strips. The adhesive strips are numbered in the same order as the YouTube videos which made it almost impossible not to successfully complete the upgrade.Very pleased with the products.

I have just upgraded an iMac 21.5" 2017 from HDD to SSD. This kit made the process relatively straightforward. If you are going to try the upgrade there are some good videos out there and an excellent iFix guide. It does take a bit of care and patience but is very possible. The kit has more in than you'll need but I wouldn't have tried it without!

This kit had everything that I needed for my iMac hard drive upgrade which carried out myself if you dabble in DIY computer repairs this is a essential kit to have.

Makes upgrading the iMac a nicer experience, watching along with the YouTube tutorial works perfectly.
