Best bit of kit, once set up the ease in cleaning the pin has become effortless, set it to clean how often you want or a manual clean at the press of a button, water is clear and fish are healthy and happy, expensive but worth it in the long term

*EDIT* Just over one year later and the waste valve failed to close after the cleaning cycle finished, draining the pond down to 1/3 and thus burning my pump out. The manufacturer's website claims this can't happen due to a safety feature... so maybe that's broken too. Perhaps they need a safety feature for the safety feature. Luckily no fish harmed but £180 poorer for having to buy a new pump. I've had the same filter on my pond for about 20 years or so now... But for the last two or so years nothing I could do seemed to get the water clear. Cleaning sponges was a real chore and they got clogged again almost immediately. I'd been keeping an eye on one of these for several months as, to be honest, it's pretty pricey for a pond filter... but I finally gave in and purchased it. I wish I had bought it years ago. It is such a clever design and the auto clean function works amazingly well. I can now see the bottom of the pond for the first time in over a decade!

OMG after 20 years of smelly foam filters and regular cleaning all through the summer WHAT a difference a fully automatic system makes. You eventually forget that you have a filter it just happens, the pond is crystal clear all the time, there's no sludge or anything else it sounds too good to be true but it isn't What are the down sides, well it has to be piped in to a drain and obviously every time it performs a filter cycle there is a loss of pond water, so you need to top up the pond or have some sort of automatic filling system installed BUT ITS WORTH IT!!. Maintenance -NONE Hassle -NONE Clean pond and happy fish- GET ONE YOU WON'T EVER REGRET IT11

It arrived in a battered box. A screw was missing from the control panel. The top plastic moulding was badly fitted and a screw had missed its target completely and was sticking out. On first start up, the inlet hosetail sheared off pumping water everywhere. I fear this might be a "second" . I struggle to believe it passed any quality control test. Be wary Aquacadabra are difficult to make returns to.
