This is a good, sturdy shorter cat nest that was very easy to assemble. I have larger cats and needed something for them to lounge in, near my chair instead of on top of me every minute. I have one 11 Lb cat and one 14 Lbs, and they each use this. It has a good thick post that doubles as a scratcher, and the fabric on the cushion is a soft, plush fleecy fabric. I especially like that the border on the cushion is padded, so kitties may hang their heads over the side if they want and not choke. It also lets them lean against the side, and not fall out! The top cushion is large enough that one at a time can curl up with room to spare.The only thing I recommend is, don't forget to attach the cushion to the top of the post; at first I didn't think this was possible, and one cat went flying off. However, when I took the time to inspect the underside of the cushion it was clear that you just stretch the fabric over the round top of the post, and it anchors very wellUpdate July 2023 - the scratching post has stiff black threads that poke out when the cat uses the post for scratching over time.. This is still an excellent cat tree, just be careful your kitty doesn’t swallow any of these loose threads. Mine did and it made her cough. I’ve duct taped the loose threads down so she won’t use the scratching post, just the bed on top.

This was a real standout in our four cat household. They have all been waiting their turn to use this and I am extremely impressed with the high quality workmanship, look, and ease of assembly. The instruction manual is perfunctory but there are only two bolts, so you can’t really mess this up. The scratching surface is an odd material I have not seen before and is a break from the usual tan colored sisal material. The cats don’t really use it to scratch on, perhaps because it is on the short side. My cats usually like to stretch out when scratching on a post and this is too short for that. There are better options if you want a scratching post. This is high enough to get the bed off the ground so that the cats feel safe but not too high that they have trouble jumping into the bed.The bed is very plush, generous sized, and judging from sleeping cats, very comfortable. The bed attaches to the wood platform like a fitted sheet on a mattress. You may need to adjust it to keep the bed looking even, but it will stay on.It was larger than I expected as far as bed width so I had to look around for a bigger space for it, but the size also means more stability. I don’t think this will tip over if cats jump on and off it. Overall, very pleased.

My petite cat can only jump up as high as 25 inches. I wanted a single bed, compact enough to fit in bedroom, just for sleeping, and get her up from the floor bed in the winter. Was going with another maker I have a super sturdy cat tree from...but the cost of this was good. Kitty took to it right away.It keeps the larger 2nd cat away from dominating her in a cat tree, and pushing her out. This way each has their own bed off the floor. Sharing a cat tree was not working.Bed is round and soft,,and kitty likes to hang her head off the edge. I still put a little blanket in the bed , since it is grey in color and my cat is white, makes for easier cleaning of fur. Kitty just realized the stand itself is a scratching post.....Seems sturdy enough, easy to put together, maybe 5 minutes. Nice large round bed, with soft edges. Kitty is able to stretch out a bit, and not be all curled up.Great buy.Wish it also came in beige or cream color, just to match the decor.

I received this post today. After I put it together my cat jumped into it and didn’t stay long. The bottom of the bed has no padding and my cat likes a cushion. I managed to place a small cushion under the bed and still safely attach it to the post. After that, my cat took a long nap in it. It is otherwise great. The base is firm and it was easy to assemble.

I ordered this post style bed for my 11 yr old flame point Siamese kitty, who is 17 lbs and a substantially fluffy fellow. Most standard beds are too small for him, and he kind of puddles over the edges. This bed however instantly became his favorite sleeping spot, and has room to spare for his mushy kitty belly to spread out. The post itself is very sturdy and covered in a nice dark grey jute-like material, while the bedding topper is a soft grey fabric with a puff rolled edge. The only thing I would have preferred is that the bedding base have more padding, as it is very thin and lays directly on the hard, wooden surface of the post. You can remedy that though by adding a layer of padding material to the post before applying the bedding topper. My big guy loves his bed and naps there all day long. Would easily hold larger breed cats like Maine Coon, Norwegian Forest cats, Bobtails, Ragdolls, Persian, etc, or maybe just some super fatties like my marshmallow kitty.

Wow this is exactly what I’ve been wanting! I wanted a nice cat bed so my one eyed cat Opal can look outside when she’s in my room. My other cat has claimed the larger cat tree in the living room and Opal needed a spot of her own.I took it out of the box and she already claimed it before I even had it together! It’s the perfect height for her to look out during the day. At night I close the blinds.Sturdy, well made, nice size, easy to put together, and Opal is happy!

This is a sturdy, nice looking, Cat tree. The bed is XL, my cat is 15 pounds and there is still a lot of room for him to grow. He’s a rag doll, a bigger breed. I needed something on the larger size and there is not a lot of options. The scratching post is even wide! He likes to bear hug it and flip around the whole thing. I think the price is great too. Very easy to put together and it looks really nice. He was sleeping in it only a few hours after I put it together. Great product!!
