This is the perfect lanyard for the shorter employee. Typical lanyards leave my badge hanging so low I practically sit on it, or it gets in the way when I lift or stack items.I modified this lanyard easily due to its design:You open the breakaway ends to cut to size the lanyard. I gave enough room to go over my head and leave my hair intact easily. I could NOT find something that was short enough for me. I cut the bottom clip off of this badge. I then tucked the sewn loop that originally held the plastic detachable section through the back to front of the loop on the top of my badge holder. I then slid one side of the nylon strap through the sewn loop and while still loose, I slide the other side through to make a nice overhand knot. I pulled both sides taut. Added the clips back to the ends of the breakaway portion of the lanyard and I had my perfect lanyard.All lanyards I've tried so far have been too heavy, long, or have some sort of portion that digs at the back of my neck or pulls at my hair.The nylon strap may be a bit wide for lighter fabric collared shirts. Any collared shirts I have are knit. I'm only speculating this may be a point of lesser preference.The detachable portion of the lanyard may be coveted by some, but it escapes me. Perhaps having keys that can be easily removed and replaced.If they made this badge skipping the detachable section and having the swivel loop only, I wouldn't have needed the knot modification.

I used the rope-like string kind forever and had been starting to get headaches. The wide ribbon-like design keeps preasure off my neck and no more headaches. Great product with good, durable materials, and a clean look. :-)

I was looking forward to this product as I needed a new safety lanyard for work. When it came in the mail, I brought it in, and immediately opened the package. To test the breakaway clasp, I gave a very gentle tug on the web strap to see how easily the breakaway clasp would work. Instead of the breakaway clasp coming apart, the nylon web strap came out of the plastic breakaway attachment point with very little effort. Despite my best efforts, and I am fairly mechanically inclined, I couldn't figure out how to get the web strap back in without breaking the clasp. There are no directions either. Also, the nylon webbing was coming unraveled as it left the attachment point.Upon further inspection, this is a VERY poorly made product. The breakaway clasps are poorly designed and made of cheap plastic. I immediately contacted Amazon for a full refund. I need a safety lanyard that can withstand the wear and tear of working in an industrial setting but still come apart should it catch on equipment. If you are looking for the same, then DO NOT BUY this product.

I would give a five but these are super long and not adjustable as a 5'4 110lb size b women the badge hung at my hip and I didn't want anyone starting down at me so this didn't work for me would for men or women with with breast. Good quality material though.

This lanyard was exactly what my husband was looking for but was a little disappointed that the hook latch was made of plastic. For the money we thought is was going to be metal. Other than that this was as described.
