Bosch Cordless Light UniversalLamp 18 (Without Battery, 18 Volt System, in Carton Packaging)

Robust, well made and designed. If you already have other Bosh products possibly with a spare battery ('All 18V Alliance' or equivalent) this could be very useful as an emergency or general purpose torch. It is of course LED and is reasonably heavy and has 2 brightness settings but no beam 'width' adjustment. The (up/down) angle of the beam can be adjusted but the minimum is horizontal, when the lamp is on a horizontal surface, so it is not really intended as a table lamp. It also has a hook. So far I have used it for many hours using a charged 2 Ah battery, and there is still plenty of charge left.

Great product! Really simplifies tasks.

Very bright, good coverage/spread, battery life for 4Ah battery is all day on min output but drops to about 4 hours on full output. Magnetic feature and hook are good in the right circumstances. I love the fact it can share batteries with my other kit, but see reservations below; would be 5 stars except for these issues. Part of the Bosch OneForAll battery system range so can share batteries and chargers from other items I have in that range which is great; my only gripe is that there are not enough other vendors involved in the battery alliance and even Bosch had 2 standards, a pro range and a consumer range, there is no need for them to have different battery standards. Also the batteries and chargers are a bit overpriced. Hence 4 stars for these flaws, but otherwise a great bit of kit.

Handy light that works with the Bosch battieres if you're already invested in that range with other Bosch tools. It's a bit dim and the light is not very diffuse
