Rancho RS5000X Gas Shocks Set for 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler 4WD YJ

I received 3 of the shocks the day after I ordered still waiting on the fourth one to show up

I installed these in the front and back of a 1992 Jeep YJ with no lift. Perfect fit when combined with a relocation bracket and they made an amazing difference in the ride on both smooth and bumpy dirt roads. Easy install and they came with smaller bushings which were needed for the stock lower shock bolts.I used the Rubicon shock relocation bracket on each rear shock mount. Some websites say they're needed for clearance due to the Rancho tube diameter being wider. I didn't test them without the bracket but everything is good with the bracket installed.

The shocks arrived on time and undamaged. I had debated between buying these and comparably priced Rough Country shocks and based on the ride, I am very happy with this purchase. They installed without incident. I like how the piston is covered with the flexible plastic housing on these, compared to the naked piston on the Rough Country shocks. I go out quite often into the southern Nevada desert, and while they ride great on the street, I will update my review after my first off road trip. Gave 4 stars for now. Not the most expensive shocks, but they are good quality for the price.
