To be honest I was expecting a emergency radio similar to the one I already owned, I was hoping to give it to my daughter since we live in an area that sees a lot of tornado watches/warnings.I was shocked when I got this tiny radio that was 6 inches by 3 inches and thought I should have paid better attention but I saw a price less than $20 and thought it would be a deal. Turns out I was exactly right, this little thing was amazing. The reception was much better than my existing one, the functions were all easy to operate and add in the crank and the solar charging it becomes possibly the best emergency radio ever and MUCH easier to throw in a bag and carry with you when needed.It will also charge your cell phone and you can charge it with the crank which was easy to turn but I recommend you do this only in an emergency to reduce wear and tear or charge it from your nearest USB port. I hooked it up to a USB charger and from pretty much dead battery to full charge took 2 hours.Again I was shocked when it performed better for the basic function of emergency radio on all bands the reception was clearer and easier to locate and tune in the channel (has a little green LED that helps you fine tune it, made it super easy). Throw in the flashlight function , something that every emergency radio SHOULD have and it is an amazing deal. Since my other one was a Midland I was really surprised. So it is about 1/4 the size and about 1/4 the cost so this is definitely a 5 Star product. Since I was going to give this as a gift to my daughter, I may have to get another one for myself.

I bought two of these for my nephews for Christmas, couldn't resist taking it out of the box to make sure it worked, before I wrapped it, it exceeded all my expectations, got better signal then my big radio, I also like the fact that there's three different ways of charging it, the flashlight is extremely bright, I wish it came with a nice caring bag you can clip onto your belt or backpack, I will definitely be buying more of these, I was more happy with this one, then mine that I paid $45 for

Loved this little radio when I first got it. But after 3 months the battery has failed and will not hold a charge, making this useless as an emergency radio. I reached out to the manufacturer for assistance and did not receive any help, nothing. Amazon is awesome and helping me fix the situation. But as far as the radio goes you may want to choose a different one if you are looking to have it for an emergency.

UPDATE - The radio part on all 3 bands stopped working in October of 2019, well past the return window limit. I'm downgrading my review to 3 stars as it worked well for a while, then just plain stopped. All of the "blue lights" are lit indicating it is fully charged, but all I get is static on the radio on all 3 bands. ORIGINAL REVIEW - This radio arrived much sooner than expected, was packaged well, and it's wonderful! Larger and sturdier than most small radios of this type, it gets the Weather Band plus AM and FM bands. Reception and sound are really good where I live, which is in a major city in an apartment building with lots of metal and brick and other things that could affect radio reception. Easy to charge by hand crank or solar power, no batteries to replace, easy to use the buttons and dials, and the flashlight is really bright. I'm very happy with this purchase and just might buy another one to keep in my car. Highly recommended!

So far, so good. Haven’t used much, but impressed with how little cranking it took to get going compared to older crank radios. Picked up weather band in our rural area with nipo problems.Haven’t used to charge phone yet, but’s will update review after trying.

This little device travels with me on business trips. Its 2000mAh battery lets me recharge my phone even when there is no outlet around. The flashlight is very bright; it's nice to be able to see when the power goes out in a hotel. Solar charging is slow, but it helps in keeping the battery fully charged if you expose it to sunlight whenever possible. If all else fails, you can turn the crank and charge that way. Lightweight, rugged, and fairly small so it is easy to bring along. All this for less than $20.

I purchased this a few months ago, and upon arrival I charged it, powered it up, turned it on, and it worked. Today is the first day I actually tried to use it for any extended length of time. The phone charging port does not work at all, BOO. And the radio stopped working after about 15 minutes of continuous play. It was fully charged. And I have since put it in the sun. Nope. Nothing. Wont play AM, FM or weather band. Luckily I didn’t spend a ton of money on it!!! Lesson learned. Fully investigate products upon arrival to ensure they work!!! Please, if you do order this, give it a good full trial and make sure all of the parts are operational so you will be able to get your money back if it’s a dud like mine.
