It looks like a jewelry in a black case
First of all, it looks like a jewelry in a small black case. People didn't guess what is it !!And when I put it on my bow, my violin plays a beautiful sound !!Actually, I had and used old rosin which more than 10 years old. I thought my violin sound is really bad many years. My husband believe the old one was OK for my violin. He plays for many years though...And I learned by You-tube the old rosin should get rid of after one year. SO I bought it. And it works really well. And this is a good price but not cheap one. And finally my violin plays beautiful sound !!

Smooth, rich tone
I love this rosin. I am a violin/viola/cello teacher and recommend it to all my students. It sticks evenly to the bow hair, produces a rich, smooth tone, and my students don't have to re-rosin all the time. I love that it comes in a hard case, so the rosin does not break easily like the other kinds we have used in the past. You can actually turn this rosin, so when you get a groove that is getting deep, you can turn the cake and start a new one. This way, a lot more of the rosin is actually used. This is my favorite.

Great affordable rosin.
I live where it's either dry and hot or dry and cold. This rosin works great for me and isn't expensive at all. It works great for my cellos and fiddles no matter the time of year. The case design is simple, effective , and useful. Props to the engineers who designed it.

It's a good rosin
So, I've done a bit of experimentation with rosins. I rate this 4 stars after trying a more upmarket rosin. The big difference to me is the start of the bow movement. The upmarket rosin has a softer start. Meaning it is smoother when you start playing. At the frog end, with a little too much pressure it is a little "grindy" when you start, you almost have to have the bow moving before you touch the string for a smooth sound. It may well be my skill level, and I am not saying it isn't but I can try and reproduce the grinding noise with the upmarket rosin and it doesn't do it.But after a bit of a rough start sometimes - it sounds very good. It offers good string feedback while bowing. It can get a nice rich sound out of the lower strings. There is a lot to like. Now on to the killer feature - the holder it is awesome, probably the best on the market.

OMG THIS ROSIN GUYS!!!!!!!!!
I am an amateur violinist, and have been using the rosin from my case for months, until a friend bumped my elbow when I was rosin ing my bow. Nothing survived. I bought this as a replacement, and the term perfect does NOT begin to touch this rosin. The rosin I was using gave my violin a scratchy tone to it, but this rosin is fantastic, and gives it a more pure, resonating sound. The rosin I was using required a great bit of grip on my behalf to give it a good quality sound. But with this rosin, my bow just glides on the string and gives it the same sound, and that doesn't even compare to when I apply slight pressure to the bow. It applies very nicely, and is very elegant in its design. There is still a fair bit of dust given off, but that does not even touch it's pros to give me reason to give it 4/5 stars. Perfect quality, great grip, and reasonable price make this rosin 10/10. Will definetly buy this again.

Top quality in every respect.
Top quality from the case to the texture of the rosin. Coated new bow perfectly. I am sure with the ability to turn the rosin. It will last forever, and with each new angle it will last a very long time.

Great rosin!
I originally got this rosin because i took up cello and was told that the darker rosins are better. After using it the first time i put it away when i got done, and the next day when i started practicing the weirdest thing happened i didnt rosin my bow the entire 5 hours i played. This never happens. I dont know what they did but this is the best rosin i have used. Its now my favorite for my violin and viola also. Since i got it i never hit a spot where my bow skates(when a spot of the bow is used more than the rest and you get a silent or really fowl note). I highly recommend. Rosin is cheap but it matters, it is worth it to get a good rosin. Violin is hard enough without adding problems by cutting corners that shouldnt be.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT!
I PURCHASED THIS FOR MY 11-YEAR-OLD GRANDDAUGHTER WHO STARTED TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE VIOLIN. SHE SAID SHE NOTICED RIGHT AWAY THAT THE SOUND WAS IMPROVED BECAUSE OF THE QUALITY OF THE ROSIN. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT, BEGINNER OR ADVANCED PLAYERS, VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO, AND BASS FIDDLE....
