I'm so happy right now! I would give this product 100 stars if I could. For a couple of years I've been making date bars using whole pitted dates, having to go through a messy and lengthy processes to turn them into a paste. I've tried heating them in a crockpot, mixing in a food processor/vitamix (nearly killing the motor), and adding water (ruining the recipe). The package arrived today and I immediately went to the kitchen to try the paste in the date bar recipe: it was PERFECT. The product contains nothing but dates in such a smooth and easy to work with paste. To use, I cut a corner off the package and squeezed the paste into a measuring cup. For storage, I'll place the cut bag into a sealed container and keep in the refrigerator. The price is also fantastic considering the normal price for the equivalent amount of whole pitted dates is $14. Added a pic of nutrition info bc it doesn't show clearly on Amazon.

This is absolutely the way to go when making any type of energy bites. I translated the number of whole dates vs the amount of paste to use and it was so easy to substitute. No soaking or chopping dates. It is a little sticky to work with, but I kept wetting my utinsels and worked well. Open to suggestions from long term users how best to measure out amounts needed. No waste and keeps for 3 months once opened. Nothing wasted and convenient that it comes in two seperate bags so you can stretch the longevity out even longer. Won't go back to purchasing whole dates when using to bake.

They are exactly what they are billed to be. Dates made into paste. Taste and texture is exactly the same as when I make date paste myself - without the hassle and at a very reasonable cost.
