I absolutely love this product! It makes a delicious, high quality demi that is so easy to make! The texture is a smooth & thick sauce that will kick up your recipes several notches! I use it in sautéed mushrooms but it's versatile for many other things. Try it in your pasta sauce! The value is pretty good. The size is perfect for one pan of whatever you're making, but there's 2 packets in each box if you need to make more.

We planned a special dinner after finding morels, and wanted to sauce them. I am so glad that I didn’t follow the directions after heating the sauce and tasting it! It is pretty awful as directed. Wound up sautéing the morels on the side, and then the chops in another pan. After searing and cooking the chops, I added shallots to the pan, and deglazed the fond with cognac and then cream and pepper, with a TEASPOON of this sauce. That made it acceptable, but not stellar. Full on, this sauce is pretty awful.

Works PERFECTLY in the crockpot over a beef brisket and veggies!

My local market used to carry these but no longer. This takes the time and labor out of slaving over the store to make a tru demi. Very flavorful and convenient.

Usually, demi glace is made from simmering beef bones and making a stock from it, all day, so that it gets super concentrated. This is all that work, instantly at your fingertips.These little demi glace packets are fabulous to throw into the drippings left over from steaks to make a rich gravy (add a little water and butter, and the best gravy you've ever had in your life), into the crock pot with the beef broth when doing a Sunday Roast beef . . . even stirring into a steak pot pie or anything that needs that little extra "beef" magic. These come in chicken, too. It's like giving your dish a steroid hit of amazing flavor.My review does not reflect the quality of this product, which is great. My review is low because the pack I ordered was supposed to have 6 packets, and mine only contained 2. :( However, Amazon quickly made this right for me, so I'm a happy camper. Where's the Beef? :)
