made me like my ukulele
bought a ukulele on a whim at the local music store, took it home, kind of regretted it because I didn't like the sound of the strings it came with (too dull a tone for my ears). Replaced the strings with these, and now I can't put it down.

My Go-To Strings
I have been playing ukulele since 2018. I play every day. I have several ukes, all of them soprano. I use either the D’Addario titanium or carbon strings. I love the sound and feel of both, with a slight preference for the titanium. Bright and loud are good descriptors for the sound. On a soprano, it’s fantastic. Most new ukuleles come with Aquila Nylgut strings. Unfortunately, after playing with titanium all these years, it makes the nylguts sound muted and dead. Then I have to immediately swap out the strings on the new instrument. It takes a while for the strings to stretch and settle, so please be patient. It’s worth the wait!

Good brand but...
I put these on a little soprano uke I bought at a resale shop. The strings are ok, but not for this little uke. Not a very good sound from the strings at that high pitch. I know the cheap uke is mostly at fault, but I thought I'd get SOME tone from the D'Addario's. Still my favorite brand of strings, though.

Excellent Strings, Just Not For Me
Let me first say these are excellent strings. I gave them five stars because there's absolutely nothing wrong with them. They're strong, durable, beautiful and have a bright, clear tone. And it's not their fault, they're just not for me.I've been on a quest to find the best strings for my ukuleles, so I've been trying different types of strings. I had a chance to try these titaniums, so I went for it, but I knew right away that they weren't going to work for me. Because of age and arthritis, I need strings that are light and easy for me to play. These strings have a larger diameter, are tough and cause me pain when I try to play using them. However, if you are younger and do not have hand and wrist issues and want a bright, clear sound for your uke, these strings would be a great way to go.For me personally, I have found that fluorocarbons are the easiest strings to play, and I think I'm going to stick with those from here on out. They also have a bright, clear sound but are easy to depress and have an almost elastic feel, so I'll be switching back to those soon.Again, no fault of the strings, just not a good match for me.

On the fence…
I’m not sure whether I received a bad apple or not but… the sound is not soft/smooth, it’s very light and metallic…
