Waited a year but it actually worked
Coming back almost a year later! So originally I said this is crap and doesn’t work when trying to remove purple sharpie off my coach purse that my daughter wrote her name on the front. I mean it was a long shot trying this out since it was a four year old sharpie stain. At first the remover did absolutely nothing no matter how hard I tried scrubbing, soaking, and following the directions to a T for a few days in a row. I threw the purse to the back of my closet and just yesterday(11 months later after trying to treat the stain) I went to grab it to get the wallet out and I kid you not I couldn’t see where the sharpie was at!! I had to look really close so If you look super close it’s there but not as pigmented anymore and I can wear my purse now. Even my husband couldn’t find the stain u til basically putting the purse up to his eye. So I guess it does work just not immediately.

Not sure
I'm sure this product would work on ink, if the ink was still wet. I used it on an ink spot that had been dry for 24 hours. It did not remove the ink at all, but you could tell it was fading. It took alot of scrubbing, while using this product, and soaking it in water just to get the slot to Slightly fade. Use on wet ink ?

Follow directions
Worked great, I was able to get the sharpie out of my clothes. For everyone saying it doesnt work, you have to act fast, but even after a week plus, it did a really good job. You cannot get it wet first, that's the trick. Don't wash it first, then use it, and expect it to work.

Not bad, but not amazing
I have to preface this with I had a stain that would NOT budge on a VERY expensive 100% white cotton knit sweater- a few splatters of random bright orange paint or highlighter or something that I couldn’t figure out, which definitely complicated stain removal. The sweater was totally unwearable. I tried everything, literally: shout, oxyclean, acetone, alcohol, Goo Gone, Rit Dye Remover and in desperation ordered Amodex. I have to say it was definitely the most pleasant to use with a mild scent and thick creamy formula. I applied, agitated into the spots, let sit for 12 hours and washed. Nada. Tried again, this time leaving overnight, adding more, leaving for another 12 hours, adding more, another overnight and a wash (36 hours and 3 applications). The stains definitely lightened a bit but nothing drastic- maybe 40% lighter than before. I probably would’ve tried another 36-48 hrs round, but ran out of product. At this point I figured I would try to most industrial ‘stain’ remover I could find and ordered Goof Off Professional. Worst case is it wouldn’t work and I’d have to dye the sweater another color and hope the orange wouldn’t show through. To my surprise, Goof Off professional removed 95% of the remaining stains in one application (apply, dab to remove excess stain, wash in hot water), but it was super smelly and clearly an actual chemical mixture. If it wasn’t a white cotton sweater, I probably wouldn’t have chanced it, but so happy I did. Amodex definitely helped lift the stains, but didn’t remove them like the Goof Off professional did.

1 experience great, another not so good
Small blood stain,I didn't think it would come out, but after the wash it was gone. Another stain on a white sweater is still there. Will try again.

Miracle product. Somehow, I got very dark blue ink on the front of one of my favorite blazers.
I have a beautiful blazer that was custom fitted for me. Somehow, I wasn’t paying attention when I was giving a talk, and I leaned into a gel blue pen during it and the ink saturated the front of this beautiful blazer. I thought it was gone. I use this product. I applied it dry like they said, worked it in and then I blotted it with several paper towels by holding it down, and when I lifted it up, the ink would remove into the paper towel. I then washed it by hand in the front of the blazer, and there were still residual blue ink, but it was barely noticeable. After a dried overnight, I reapplied the product and followed the same steps. It completely removed the ink and the blazer looks fabulous.

Worth a shot
I actually thought this product didn’t work bc the stain was still there after 24 hours as directed. But with a little more coaxing the stain faded about 90%
