Sun Company Digital Zipogage - Compact Zipperpull Digital Thermometer | for Skiing, Snowboarding, Cold-Weather Camping, Snowshoeing, or Any Outdoor Activity

This is my second Sun Zipogage digital thermometer. I got the first to mount on my bike handlebars so I could see what the temp was. I got this one for camping. I compared the readings of both Zipogages, and they are within 0.3 degrees. I also compared them to a a Sun glass thermometer and a indoor/outdoor digital thermometer. They all agreed, which I take to mean there is confidence in large numbers of agreement! (The Sun keychain glass thermometers were not great: both had the red line on the opposite side from Fahrenheit, and one of them was 4-5 degrees high. I recommend sticking with this digital gage.) PROS This is easy to read, especially compared to the glass thermometers. It has an on/off switch The battery seems to last a very long time. (I usually turn if off when not in use, but I have accidentally left it on for a week or more and it's still going strong.) CONS The on/off switch is very easy to bump (but if you accidentally turn it on, no real worries because the battery should last for your entire camping trip and much more). It has no high/low memory setting It costs three times what the glass keychain gages do When you take them outdoors, they are very slow to find the correct temperature. When I commute on my bike, it takes 15 minutes for the gage to reach what appears to be the outdoor temperature. But if you are, say, camping for a week and always leave it on, you should have few problems.

Reports accurately for me. There is NO TABB to pull as we are used to. Rather there is a round red thing under the battery. Take that off. Put battery back in and it will work. Should be better directions on that. It is more expensive than it would seem to be. I use it for my ebike. Thought I'd get a second one for my other bike, but $21 is just too much. Ah heck, I bought a second one for my other ebike. Only live once!!

I received this and like other reviewers, peeled off the back sticker and opened the battery compartment in order to remove the "battery tab". Look very closely but there is definitely no tab to remove. Replace the cover, but the thermometer is clearly not working. Dead battery? No, says my trusty battery tester, the battery is very good. Repeat this process 2 more times, when to my surprise an invisibly clear ultra-thin plastic disk falls out of the battery compartment on the last try: the "battery tab" with no tab. So--if you can't get it working, take out the battery and turn the thermometer over and tap it to dislodge the invisible disc. Hope this helps. Also - it is measuring accurate within 1 degree, when compared to my Ecobee wall thermostat.

The big button is good for display on/off and a long press to switch between °F/°C. I like that is has a lower minimum than the other one I purchased. One concern is it seems the screen is shifted just a little to the right, the °F and the decimal very close to the edge with a large space for the 100s digit. No big deal really. I placed this in my refrigerator freezer along with two other brands/styles and all three were measuring the same temperature so that is reassuring. I really like the compactness of these units. Excellent customer service should you ever have a problem with it!

Works fine but 2 matters: --It reads about 1.5 degrees low. I put it next to 4 other gauges (3 had 3 digits) at room temp (~65F) and in the fridge (~35F), and this device read 1-2 degrees below the other 4 gauges both times. --Wish the LCD was a paper white type. This device uses the typical black numbers on a light gray LCD. It would be easier to read in low light if it were a paper white LCD. Otherwise, seems fine. Lots faster to recognize temp changes than the other similar device I bought.

Nice and small just what I was looking for, I will be ordering more one will go on my ATV key.

Great small thermometer. I use this on camping and backpacking trips. Very accurate. Would’ve gotten 5 stars if it would’ve came with a different ring. Say a small clip as opposed to the key style ring.

雪山での行動中の気温を知りたくてこれまでいくつかの温度計を使ってきたけれど、見づらかったり精度がよくなかったりとどれも今一つだった。そこそこ使えそうなデジタル式の携帯型温度計も低いほうは-10℃までだったのであれこれ探していたところ、-30℃まで動作すると記載があるこの温度計を見つけて購入。 で、さっそく自宅の冷蔵庫の冷凍室(-20℃前後で数℃変動)でおよそ12時間の動作確認。 2台のセンサー分離型の温度計と1台のアナログ温度計、冷蔵庫本体の温度表示との比較で表示の差は±1度程度に収まっていた。 -20℃では電源ボタンの操作に対して表示のON/OFF反応が遅くなるけれど表示が見づらくなることもない。 製品のパッケージの説明には精度は±2℃と記載されているので、私が使いたい温度付近では仕様通りの性能であることを確認できました。 小さくて操作は簡単、表示も見やすくてこれは本番での使用が楽しみです。 高温側の動作温度は製品パッケージに記載がありませんが、amazonの商品説明では+54℃。 まぁ、製品パッケージにスノースポーツ、寒い気候でのアクティビティ用と記載されていますし、熱中症対策の携帯型温度計(湿度計付)は他のメーカーからいくつも出ているの冬と夏とで使い分けようと思います。

Ce petit thermomètre est facile à utiliser. Il donne des lectures précises et je le trouve pratique car il donne des mesures dans une large gamme de températures. Je l'accroche à une fermeture Éclair de mon anorak ou de mon sac à dos lors de mes randonnées ou lors de mes journées de ski. Je l'utilise aussi dans ma serre pour vérifier s'il ne fait pas trop chaud ou trop froid pour mes plantes. Je m'en sers aussi pour mesurer la température du réfrigérateur, etc. Je l'amène partout sur le terrain. Je l'ai depuis presque 1 an et il n'est pas abîmé. Il est encore comme neuf.

Ho acquistato questo termometro per utilizzarlo durante le mie uscite in bicicletta. I valori delle temperature misurate sono corrette ed allineate con gli altri termometri in mio possesso. Inoltre ho inserito il termometro, dopo averlo protetto con una bustina di celofan, in acqua e ghiaccio per qualche minuto ed il valore evidenziato è stato di 0°C che è la temperatura di passaggio dell'acqua dallo stato liquido a quello solido. Quindi questo termometro è perfettamente tarato. Lo consiglio.
