TRITON AUDIO Phantom Power Blocker Connector

No longer have the power - which is a good thing in this case.

I wanted to protect a pair of ribbon mics that can't take phantom power. While, I ended up returning these because I needed to use Fetheads (from Triton) instead for the added gain, I did verify that they did the job and didn't add any noise or color that I could hear before exchanging them. The form factor from Triton (for these and Fetheads) is ideal for my purposes as they can be attached conveniently right at the mic base with no hassles. They are very small and unobtrusive. While this might seem a little bit expensive, you can't afford to have a flakey or noisy element in a very low mic signal, and these are competitively priced for a quality device.

This unit does its job, does it well, and with zero issues so far. My inexpensive (kinda’j mixing console has “all or nothing” phantom across all the mic inputs, so I needed a phantom block for the one dynamic mic channel. I have a 150’ snake run, and as you can imagine the one time someone operated the switch on the lone SM58S, it made a heck of a bang, thankfully nothing bad happened to amp/speakers. I since got rid of the 58, put it back into the closet, and moved this block over to the wireless Lav mic receiver. I think I’ll get another one of these. Well made.

I have a small mixer that sends 48v through all mic channels. We needed this blocker for our keyboards and it works exactly as advertised. Phantom power can fry certain instruments so save yourself a lot of time and headache and buy it!

This was recommended to me by a friend after he listened to one of my episodes. The suggestion was made as my signal were too 'hot' cause I was trying to get the voice to sound louder. The issue was my voice needed a lift and this provided the lift. Now i have way more head room on my tascam mixer, and I dont have to speak louder to sound louder. Especially if you have multiple users of your set up, this helps tremendously when someone who does not have that throw in their voices to be heard without turning everything up creating potentially more issues.

Works to block phantom power and protect my Line 6 Helix without any adverse affect on signal quality. One star removed just because it is way over priced for what it is.

Fit right on to my mic, I don't need an extra extension xlr cable.

It does exactly what it is designed to do. A bit pricey for what it does but it saves $2500 of electronics from destruction

A really useful tool if you need to plug a dynamic or ribbon mic into a desk where there’s no individual control of the 48v supply.
