It's great for daily use because it is optimized for 12v ...
I've edited my review since the amp is about 3 months old now. ZERO problems. Granted I only have it at 1ohm, but after a clamp test I can conclude it is doing way over rated. 2 Sundown x18 v.2 (1500w RMS rated) dual 4 ohm (1ohm load) in a 15 cubic ft box tuned to 28hz (slotted port) Clamped at 3780w @ 1.5 Ohm @ 30hz. This is including box rise and voltage drop to 13.5v so the amp is putting well over 4400w @ 13.5v.So needless to say this is a very underrated amp. With the right electrical, you're looking at 4500w (RMS) for music at 1 ohm and 5500w for .5 ohm. I have seen posts of people running these down to .25 strapped but I would not do it daily. It's great for daily use because it is optimized for 12v and it amazes me it makes this power at such a low voltage. I have a off brand 350 amp alternator and it never drops below 13.5v at full tilt. Most the similar amps only make rated power at 14.5+.Even though its rated 12v, I recommend a very stout electrical for 5000W+. If you run this amp on stock electrical and anything less than true zero power you will hurt it.

But their subs should have direct leads if they're being matched with amps like this one
This amp is a TANK, heavy and well built. Crossover controls extend low enough to blend bass with and true 3-way front stage. I ran two x 12's on .5 ohm daily. Amp never got hot, amp never shut off. Never even showed a flaw. Now the x's on the other hand, have broke twice. In the weirdest place. The wiring connecting the spider and the push terminal snapped on one of each of the pairs i've owned. I dont know if the amp has too much juice for their wires or what but the subs coils never heated up nor was there ever distortion from the subs. I will say that they were in a huge boxed tuned EXTREMELY low. so maybe the subsonics caused it to snap. But their subs should have direct leads if they're being matched with amps like this one. The amp clamped 2800 watts at 1.5 ohms right at the tuning frequency. So if you think about that, its pretty impressive because tuning frequency is where you get the least power.
