I love these sweet little barrettes.I have long hair, and I sometimes wear one side swept back, behind my ear. These little barrettes hold my hair in place without pulling it. I've actually slept all night with a barrette in, and it's still been in place when I awakened the next morning.These barrettes do not pull on the hair, yet they hold snugly, and there is no slipping, (and I have fine hair). I like the teeth that grip, and I like the plastic closure. It looks much nicer than a metal one. They are so comfortable, I don't even feel I'm wearing one.The barrettes are pretty, too. I love the tortoise shell design and the colors. They go with anything. Some people think barrettes are only for little girls, and little girls could wear these. However, barrettes are for anyone, of any age, and these look just as good on a grown woman as they do on a child. (I will probably buy some for my little nieces.)Well worth the money. Functional and very pretty, too!

A pretty clip that holds my very fine hair very well. Would recommend for fine thin hair. Not large enough for thick hair unless you are only pulling back a small portion.

Appearance:I thought it was pretty, but it was smaller than I expected and the clip bar is flimsy. I suspect that the provided measurements were for the bottoms bar, not the pretty top

Much smaller than I expected even though the size was accurately given in the description (2" in length). They are perfect for my hair because I have fine textured hair. I had a pixie for two years and it is in the annoying mode of growing out. I needed something to sweep and hold my bangs back at the sides as they are still to short to tuck behind my ears. I wanted something that wouldn't make me look like an old woman wearing elementary school barrettes. HAH! My hair is a medium brown and the colors in the barrettes (Onyx 2") blend well with my hair. They are pretty, but not as sturdy as I had hoped, so a bit pricey for what you get, I think.

These are beautiful. However they are much smaller than expected. Also the barrette clip is plastic. I would prefer a metal barrette for better durability. The grip is good, but I have to be careful not to break them with too much hair in the clip. The shell is beautiful and very attractive. Work well in fine hair.Overall, I like these, but they were not what I expected to receive.

I bought these about a year ago and I keep forgetting to write a review. They are hands down the best hair clips I've ever owned and I've been around for decades. LOL I use them to clip up my hair and they hold so well and they grip really well. Snap shut, never come undone and I love the colors. They are a little small, so if you have thick hair and want to clip a lot of it, these probably won't work for you.
