The best medium roast blend I've found.
There's something about this blend that I can't resist. It's strong, yet subtle in it's mixture of flavors...hard to describe. I love this coffee as it's very satisfying and not too strong or bitter like some dark roasts tend to be. I'm not a big fan of dark roast.If you like a medium level roast, I recommend this brand. It holds up well with cream and sugar and is fine by itself for those that enjoy their coffee black.

The company has choice to no longer sell Extra Bold coffee which is their right but that was the one & only reason I bought it. It always arrived in perfect condition but I prefer a more bold flavor & not medium.

I received the "new " packaging.. it was just the regular medium roast, NOT the EXTRA BOLD in the dark brown foil label that I've loved forever. Huge disappointment

I am very disappointed in the Newman's Own switch from the Burgundy Colored Extra BOLD special blend to the new "special blend". It is not the same rich, full taste. I thought I had found a company that still had the original so I was disappointed to again receive the new lesser version. I have loved the Extra Bold for many years and will be searching for a new favorite.

Actually tastes like coffee and not colored water!
Good coffee. I like my coffee a little on the strong side and it is sometimes hard to find coffee that doesn't taste like water in the k-cups. This is a good coffee and actually tastes like coffee. Has a good flavor to it also. Contrary to popular belief, dark roasts are not necessarily "stronger" coffees. The beans are just roasted longer, bringing out a more burned flavor, but breaking down the caffeine. I prefer a light or medium roast for morning wake up juice, but do like to be able to taste it. The Newmans "extra bold" k-cup has a little extra grounds in it, so you get a stronger flavor. I would recommend this coffee if you like to taste your coffee and not just drink colored water.
