My six year old received the military set from me for Christmas. It is the toy of the year! He didn’t even ask for it. He got everything under the sun and this was all he wanted to play with the entire day of Christmas. It is well made and cars, trucks and aircraft are made tough. There are so many components to the main vehicle that he gets to store, hide, move, drive, hide and rearrange stuff constantly. My son will be 7 in two months and it will be a hit for a long time.

I purchased this for my son who was turning 3.He is obsessed with construction vehicles and excavators (thanks to Blippi). I wasn't sure if it would last, but I thought it was perfect for a birthday gift and it was. After weeks of nearly constant play, I am happy to report that not one piece has broken or been lost. I could not be more pleased with this. The extra storage in the front and on top of the cab of the big semi-truck is great. I was really surprised how durable it has been even the small plastic parts. This makes a great gift. If you have a little one who is obsessed with construction stuff then they will be amazed with this set and I'm sure they will get tons of play with the excavator and the dump truck alone. I love that it all fits right back into the big truck. And I was really surprised how durable the small vehicles are even with so many moving pieces. This whole toy is a great value and is more durable than you might expect.

When I first bought this set for my 4 year old for Christmas, I was very happy with it. There was a lot of detail in the little cars and they were so cute, he loved it a lot. The car carrier they are inside of was, thankfully, his favorite part of the whole setup because every single other car has since fallen to pieces. Within 24 hours two cars had lost plastic pieces, the next day the end of the helicopter came off and just now he managed to jam his finger inside the top of the ambulance through a tiny plastic window. The car carrier is literally the only thing that remains in one piece and I suspect that is due to luck and not good manufacturing. If you have a child that is hard on toys, or if like myself you have another younger child in the household, these tiny parts that break off could be dangerous. I've stepped on them, caught my 2 year old with pieces in his mouth... Disaster. My dogs chew toys lasted longer and he is a large pit bull. I wouldn't recommend this set to someone I despise.UPDATE: I was contacted by customer service after leaving this review and received a full refund for the toy. I'm pleased that they cared about my dissatisfaction and made things right so I bumped my review up to 4 stars. If you have problems with the toy you ordered make sure to contact this seller and they will help you out.

Kids loved the compartment that held small toys like a helicopter, small cars and trucks in the compartment along the side of the main truck.

Birthday

I bought this truck set a few years ago for my grandson. His little brother kept sneaking it out to play with so I bought this one to keep them both happy. This is a very nicely built toy.

We bought this for our 3 year old son who loves construction vehicles. So much that I’ve spent most school days driving him around hunting for construction sites so we can have snack and watch them work....We thought this set would be a super cute “treasure box” that he could earn one truck each week (or after doing chores/helping around the house).Not exaggerating, 5 minutes after getting the steam roller, the roller popped apart and he brought it back to me tearfully. I was able to pop the roller back together and he went back to playing. It has popped apart a few times since, and I may hot glue it together and see if that fixes it.The excavator-his absolute favorite-will not stay together at all. Simply playing with the arm trying to get it to “dig” popsThe arm off and he’s literally bringing it to me every 10 minutes to fix. It pops back in easily, but has loosened up quite a bit and looks like it will eventually give way and not work at all.He hasn’t earned the rest yet, so I’m not sure how the rest of the vehicles will fare. But based on the 1st 2....I don’t have high hopes, and I’m already shopping around for better quality construction vehicles for him to play with.The body of the 2 vehicles are metal, but the attaching parts are plastic. With minor adjustments I feel like this could be a great product, but as is, probably should be a decoration and not a play toy....
