Unistorm Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ Aluminum Case Metal Shell Black Enclosure Compatible with Raspberry Pi 3 Model B (Without fan)

The case is designed for the Raspberry Pi 2 and NOT the Raspberry Pi 3 as stated in the description.The LAN chip on the Pi3 is positioned approx 6mm further down the PCB than on the Pi 2. Subsequently the raised heatsink portion only covers half of the LAN7515 Chip. I'm an Electroincs Engineer and trust me, it's better not to cool an IC at all than to only have half the IC in contact with the heatsink as the latter causes significant temperature difference across the IC which will shorten its life considerably. For completeness, the CPU does line up reasonably well with the raised heatsink. I therefore suspect the other reviewers have just blindly fitted the case, run a CPU temperature benchmarks and assumed that all is OK as they see a lower CPU temperature. But... there is no temperature monitoring on the LAN7515 IC and it does run hot although as stated before, the raised heatsink area only covers half the IC so whilst your CPU may be cool, don't be surprised when your LAN stops working because the case has caused irreversible damage.

Cools down passively your raspberrypi by about 10-15 degrees Celsius.

Definitely worth to have, looks cool and fans are quite. Take, but price a bit too high for aluminum with fans
