Great brackets
I've seen other reviews stating that the brackets were not 90 degrees to the post. I checked each one of mine with a speed square before installing and found them to be perfect. Very easy to install and very sturdy.

The product is absolutely perfect and without question very good quality. A lot of the installation issues with these brackets are caused by to how straight your wall is, and how straight you drill the holes into the shelf. So, here's my tip to craftsmen: Pay attention to dimensions and alignment and you will be satisfied.

Not stainless steel - description is a lie
1.This is poorly galvanized, opposite to what is written in description. And it says in item desc "stainless stell" - this is LIE. See photo, after 2 weeks in my bathroom. Rusted like crazy. Should be note to use in dry conditions ONLY!2. Picture is misleading, pins on the picture seem to be much longer thank back plate. It is NOT TRUE! The pins are very short.3. Overal quality is super poor....

About it not being straight
I like them. I've seen where as a problem with other buyers about the brackets not being fully straight. I bought them any way figuring if so I'll just hammer it down. When I received the brackets they were a slight bit off. Personally I thought this was better to not slide off so easy. And perhaps let the weight added level it some. I just turned the brackets going upwards. Drilled my holes into my project as normal. Came out pretty good

Sizing?
Not so sure if the sizing on these is accurate. I made a 10mm hole & didn't fit... they seem sturdy but haven't been able to find out due to the size issue

Heed the warnings of other reviewers
There are several posts which provide various warnings about these brackets. I will say, they are very sturdy and well made. When installed properly, they will hold an ample size shelf with weight. The key phrase here is "installed properly". The installation is not for the faint of heart. The previous warnings are true: 1) the angle of the post to the bracket is not always 90 degrees 2) You need the right tools 3) there are no instructions with the brackets. However, there are some minimal instructions on the product page 4) There are no screws or anchors provided. You need to supply your own.Now here are the problems I ran into in the order I encountered them: First, I only have common Imperial size drill bits. A 3/8 drill is too small and the next one up is a 1/2 inch which is way too large. The product page recommends using a 7/16 (even thought all the measurements for the brackets are given in millimeters). I do have occasion to need various drill bits so I ordered a set with a number of non-standard sizes which included a 7/16 https://amzn.to/2G4VCLJ. I also do not have a drill press. You really need a method of being able to drill a large and deep hole as straight as possible at 90 degrees. For this, I purchased a Milescraft 1312 DrillBlock- Handheld Drill Guide https://amzn.to/2NZSFk3. The guide only accommodates standard size bits. What I did was fist drill a ¼ inch hole deep enough to accommodate the post (3 inches deep), then drill a 27/64 hole. I found the 7/16 was a little too big. The alternative is to drill a larger hole and then wrap the post in tape to fill the gap.In order to hide the brackets, the product page recommends cutting a channel in the edge of the board. I am fortunate enough to have a router and I was able to route a channel whereby the bracket will lay flush within edge of the board. However, here is the next “got ya” for which I made no accommodation. The bracket screw holes are not countersunk at all. So, even though I cut a channel, the brackets would still stick out and show because of the thickness of the head of the screw. For me, it is not too bad of a fix. I just need to adjust the router bit up from my table to accommodate the screw heads. Then my boards should be flush to the wall with no visible brackets. I’m still working on these but will update this posting when all brackets are installed and the boards hung. So, If you want good, sturdy brackets for floating shelves, these will work fine, but pay heed to the effort involved.
