HT-0264 Chopping Axe

I purchased this axe for 2 reasons.1. Same day delivery2. WarrantyI was removing a tree root that damaged some irrigation pipes and needed a smaller axe. It worked well. Good weight. Good size. Sharp enough. That tree root didn't have a chance.I noticed the Warranty information and looked into it. They provide an email address and phone number. Searching up Inter Tool showed an Oregon address so it seems legit. I was just curious after reading other reviews.Mine was fairly sharp so I haven't had to sharpened it. My perspective is part of owning an axe is knowing how to sharpen it. It doesn't matter if you have to sharpen it immediately or after you use it. Don't let a review saying it wasn't sharp stop you from buying it. It's carbon steel and has a protective coating. Take care of it and it should last.It worked well for me. I think it is a good axe for the price.

Great ax! Good weight and super sharp out of the box. Has a nice blade cover that snaps on when not in use. The handle is the right diameter and fits my hand well. Happy so far but it wore me out and made me realize that I an not in the shape I used to be 40 years ago

This thing is a beast. A great tool for gardening. Chops through branches no problem. Hefty but not too heavy. Great handle and balance. Has a blunt end which can be used as a hammer. Works great.

I knew it wouldn’t be amazing for the price but it works great to split kindling from already split pieces of firewood.

I havn't used it yet , but like others ahve stated it has a nice balance to it and feels good , looks like a decent quality and perfect size hatchet for the money . Ill update in a few weeks after I go camping and use the heck out of it .

This is a solid tool. Just the right weight and works great for splitting wood and driving a wedge. My last axe couldn't hold a candle to this thing. The steel is very good quality. When driving a wedge, the head doesn't become deformed after a few hard strikes. And the best part, the handle is designed to hold up to heavy use. I haven't had it too long but there is no sign that the head might break off, like the cheap thing I had previously did. The handle is a good size and is feels comfortable.

It’s sharp and cuts well.

This thing means business man.
