the unit is pretty good in my opinion
Bought this for my 2.5 year old son. Chose this over competing items because it looked simple and because it appeared to focus on the fundamentals of how things worked.Overall, the unit is pretty good in my opinion. Assembly was pretty easy -if you have ever put together an ikea piece this is trivial. the quality of the wood is fine. likewise, the quality of the plastic pieces/tools is fine.specific comments and thoughts in no particular order:0. height is perfect for my son.1. the vice works well. the action is smooth despite the fact this is wood on wood.2. the saw is kind of useless. but spins freely on mine if you dont attach the wood axle retaining block.3. the hammer's claw can be used to pull up the 4 provided "nails" when hammered into the table. my son like that. i might have widened the claw though -but still works.4. i would suggest to kidkraft that the right angle tool is useless. i would replace this with a phillips + accompanying screws. alternatively, a big allen key + allen key screws.5. the holes on the table and on the backboard are just through holes. it would have been nice if kidkraft had threaded a few of them so that bolts could be screwed into them. right now the bolts just go with the accompanying nuts and freestanding wood pieces with holes. Having threaded holes on the backboard would have especially been nice since if you place the table against a wall one cant reach around to use the nut and bolt combo to attach something.6. regarding table stability, i might also widen the base a tad to prevent the table from possibly tipping. i dont necessarily foresee this but who knows if the kid plays rough.7. finally, it would have been nice to have extra nuts and bolts. someone below suggested they bought extra pieces. can someone tell me where to buy them????

My toddlers love their work bench
This workbench is stimulating and interactive for toddlers. It was quite easy to assembly. All parts are clearly labeled and directions not difficult to follow. It's a sturdy bench. I love the bold colors that make it more enjoyable to play with.

Great Gift - Big hit with kids & Adults
I bought this for my friend's one year old. It was easy to put together and once together is fairly sturdy. For the price it's exactly what I expected. I think it will last for some time. Her one year old, as well my as 17 month old had a blast with it and it will be a toy that he can grow with for a few years. A plus- the adults thought it was great too!My only complaint was the hammer didn't fit in the hole but really, what kid is going to actually put their toys in the proper spot anyway!

Accessories break easily
Tool bunch itself is sturdy. Wrench broke on the first use. Also the orange and green wood peices with holes in them for screws and nails break easily. Disappointed by the quality, but my kids love playing with it!

Great for a 4 year old
We got this for my 4 year old for Christmas. We had an early Christmas so he got it already. He loves tools and so he loves this work bench. It comes with a lot of tools and accessories. We like the storage bins at the bottom. My husband put it together in about an hour. We have been impressed with other KidKraft toys and enjoy the wooden parts, which make it more sturdy and durable. All edges are rounded and well finished.

Quality Product! Fun for all!
We love KidKRAFT. This is my third purchase from them and we are just as happy as before. This workbench is a perfect size for our smaller space and my little boy loves it! The pieces are easy to manage for his little hands and he has enjoyed lots of creative play at the workbench!

Well Made!
Well constructed for an active 1 year old. Initially my husband thought it was fli,sy but the braces and baskets on the bottom made all the difference! Sturdy, colorful and interactive! It will get many years of use as he grows and develops!

Tobble over
I bought this workbench for my son who is turning to the workbench itself is really sturdy durable it's very cute and fitting the one thing I will say is that my two-year-old barely leaned on it and it did trouble over so it does for sure need to be up against the wall that is the only danger I would see or any negative things so far and he seems to really enjoy putting the nails in the screws in the holes and hammering it down.
