This mold is very nice and produces a quality looking cookie. Simply dust the mold lightly with flour before molding the cookie. Use an appropriate cookie recipe (recipes come with the mold) and follow the directions. The cookies are awesome and your friends will be totally impressed. Unlike another reviewer, my mold did come with a cookie cutter exactly the right size (plastic). I have seen similar designed molds from other manufacturers that are slightly more expensive. This one works great and looks great. I hang my springerle molds on the wall along with rolling pins and bread boards. They are not only functional but make a lovely display.
