First, I would like to tell Ms. Leanda (review from Jan. 2020) that there are 2 versions of the fish toys for sale. One has batteries in it to make it move and flop around, mostly in the tail section. The other version doesn't have batteries and is an excellent stuffed toy for chewing, dragging around, loving on, and sleeping with. That's the one you and I have. The best part of this for me is this fish is now my cat's kick buddy!! Before I got this for her, I was her kick buddy - feet, calves, legs - middle of the night, anytime. Much thanks to the makers for this! I would suggest to other buyers that they order a supply of fresher dried catnip that's been kept in a package or container. It loses it's scent after a short while, and needs refilling for the cats to smell it. Our fish had non-smelly catnip when it came, so I cleaned it out and re-stuffed it. My cat kind of enters another world when she's with her fish, and a few times I've heard her talking to it. She REALLY likes it! I would recommend getting it for any age cat. Kittens really go nuts for it, even up to the point of exhaustion and just fall asleep wherever they are, with their fish. Older cats do the same thing sometimes, and it's so fun to watch. I've found myself smiling and watching and enjoying her having so much fun. It's a good cat-sitter for when you have things to do that would be better if the cat wasn't around! This is one of the few things I've bought that's worth every penny of the purchase price.

The media could not be loaded.  My cat does not play much. She's not old, just lazy. She used to play a lot when she got to go outside but lately every time she's been outside she brought fleas back in with her (which eat up my ankles and are EXTREMELY hard to get rid of every single time) so no more outside for kitty, and she has gotten kinda dull. But, this is one of only 2 toys I've bought after buying like 20 cat toys that she'll actually play with at all. She's the kinda cat that'll only play with strings usually, so finding something out of the norm that didn't require constant attention was hard. But this one, she plays with every now and then. Pretty much every day there's 2 times when she does what happened on the video i took. But, the fish was neglected at the start. At first she was scared by it and wouldn't have anything to do with it. But, after adding normal dollar store catnip into it, and always putting it in front of her to sniff, she eventually got used to it and for months she's loved to play with it and sleep next to it. It comes with a small bit of catnip inside, but i think it must be bad quality, plus it's really not enough, because my cat wouldn't even sniff it much. They also only slapped it inside the zipper and didn't fluff it around the inside. My suggestion is to get some normal generic cheap catnip and put it inside the zipper, then push it down in with your fingers and stuff it deep down into the fish until you've got some catnip in just about every area of the inside of the "skin" of the fish. Don't worry about messing up the stuffing, it'll be fine. Zip it back up again and just constantly put it in front of your cat. She may get up and walk away when you do, mine did every time. But now that she's used to it she loves it.

My fourteen year old kitty was feeling a bit down, so we ordered him one of these to try to coax him to play. Needless to say, he is like a kitten with this fish. He LOVES it! He even uses it as a pillow at night. Thank you for making a quality toy that my baby loves.

My cat has zero interest in this toy. All that wiggly fun in the ads is bull. It's a stamped picture of a fish on fabric and stuffed, with a zipper and maybe a teeny amount of catnip inside. I even added lots more catnip (which our cat loves) still no flopping, wrestling, or even acknowledgement. On a good note my little Shih Tzu likes to play with it, lol. This the 1 star. But don't expect a fish flopping on the floor all by itself, nope.

I had my doubts about this company before I ordered, being that the price was so low. But I took a chance and bought more than one and glad I did. These are well sewn and nothing to come off and get caught in a cats throat. I don't know how long the soft fabric will last. Zippers functional. A light catnip throughout, but enough where my 2 catnip loving cats recognize it. Not only do they play for short periods with it, but my large boy also likes it to cuddle and go to sleep. These are senior cats and to find them a toy to get them active, or even interested, has been a real challenge. Items arrived sooner than expected. Very happy customer all around.

One of my cats uses it as a head rest! My other cat loves it. It is as long as he is. He loves that he can kick and bite the fish at the same time! Great price for the size.

Your cat will not play with this fish unless he/she likes catnip.The idea is you put catnip inside the pouch of fish, cat who likes catnip kicks it around, humans get a kick out of it and laugh. Our cat doesn't like catnip, so he had no interest in this toy. So no human laugh.Think about it, he doesn't know it's a fish. Cat only kick if like catnip, no like catnip, no like fish.
