Perfect as expected
They've been making the same general bulb for 40 years. They can't get it wrong. Good quality

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these headlights
How do you fall in love with your headlights? Buy a pair of these Silver Star headlights. They will dramatically improve your night driving experience. I have used these for years. These get rid of that nasty old yellow colored light and gives you a nice "white" light. Other have compared them to HID lights and I would not go there. My Acura has HID lighting and you will NOT get that with a set of Halogen bulbs no matter what you read. But, don't misunderstand me, you do get 100% increased nighttime performance with these headlights. I will NEVER go back to the plain old Halogen replacements again. Silver Star or nothing.

Very bright light. Trade-off is cost more with shorter overall service life.
They have a rather short service life. That's the trade-off: Brighter and whiter but they burn themselves out faster than all others. The package says they will give a one-year warranty on the bulb. It also mentions that the average person uses low beam headlights about 100 hours per year. I guess they are finally giving customers a clue as to what they can expect as far as service life goes.I know that, in the past, Sylvania has been involved in a class-action suit regarding the service life of these Silterstar bulbs. They just didn't make it plain and obvious that they burn out quickly. There's also a Silverstar Ultra but the Ultra version isn't available for these H4651 high beams. The Ultra lasts even a shorter amount of time than the regular Silverstars.I began using the Silverstar Ultras in our cars as soon as I discovered them years ago. You've got to realize, I'm the type of person who reads every bit of fine print on a product package. So, I have to say I knew what I was trading for...bright white light that will burn out more quickly than others. They had the information on the package about the short service life, but, you really had to look and analyze data to discover that fact. But, it's an expense I'm willing to deal with. I know I have been able to see pedestrians and bicyclists and have subsequently saved their lives simply because Silverstar beamers light them up. Recently, on a dark night, when a dark skinned child was wearing dark chlothes on a dark colored bicycle with no lights, I had a very difiicult time seeing him. I realized I was driving one of our cars that I had not fully upgraded to Silverstar. So, I bought 2 of these to remedy that. I installed these high beams on the day I got them. So, Silverstar costs about 2 to 3 times more than a regular halogen bulb. You can get a regular halogen for about $6 if you shop around and take an off-brand. These Silverstars, however, were about $18 each. That's 3 times the cost. And they will only last about one-third as long as a regualr halogen bulb. So, be prepared. You pay 3 times as much to get one-third the service life. So, a set of 4 regular halogens will be about $24. A ful set of 4 Silverstars will be about $80. That's approximately a $60 difference. But, considering s set of headlamps will last me about 2 to 3 years, it's a small price to pay if I can avoid hitting someone or some thing.Silverstars are really bright and white so you can actually see farther down the road. And they do illiminate a little wider swath so you can see things better on the left and right sides of the car. They are street legal. They do not have that offensive blue-hue that you see with some headlights these days. They are, I guess, just about as bright as light can get using the 55 watts allowed by the D.O.T.

EXTREMELY GOOD LIGHTS!
I put a set of these lights in my 3rd gen Camaro 15 years ago. These were purchased to replace those lights. They last a very long time. These lights are a noticeable upgrade from the stock sealed beam headlights from that period. The light is just a bit blue compared to the original lights. They are bright and they cast a beam with very good even coverage of the area ahead. I will look for them again when it becomes necessary.

Great lights/confusing listing. Hard to differentiate the listing for high beam and low beam applications.
These headlights are great and are worth the money. The problem is the way they are listed. I bought these for my low beams as the description for low beam and high beam seem to be the same. Be careful as the descriptions are unnecessarily confusing. These are for high beams only.
