Dismally difficult, no fun at all!
I feel very badly writing such a negative review, but I feel I need to warn other families who might spend money on this one. By the time I paid for shipping (since it is not Prime), I paid [...] for this game. That is a big sacrifice for our large family and I wish I could get my money back. I bought it last year after Christmas, thinking to save it for this Christmas, so it has been way too long. They clearly spent a lot of time making a beautiful game board and pieces. The one star is for that. The one exception to this is that the colored tokens were sort of covered in powdery stuff and the color came off on our hands...the white tokens are now tinged pink from the red tokens bleeding on to them.But...all that would not matter so much if you could actually figure out the point of this game. We tried twice as a family to learn to play it and it was completely frustrating. We are certainly capable of learning difficult games. We played "Settlers of Catan" at a relatives house and love it, and it is somewhat complex. But this game is just poorly planned and poorly explained. The other aspect that might interest Christian families who are hoping this game will reinforce Bible knowledge that your children might have...I really don't see how this would happen either, because your "character" that you are for the game will be all over the board participating in Biblical events or places that they were never actually a part of. Hope that makes sense.I am sure the maker was hoping to do this as a ministry, making Christian games, and I do appreciate that sentiment. But this one needs to go back to the drawing board before it will be useable by families.

Good entertainment
The only problem was the paint on the little red tokens wasn't quite cured completely, so it is rubbing off some. Great art work, and some good Bible references. Still looking for the game that educates with a time line of when the events in Biblical history took place.

Received this game as a gift and loved it. As stated in other reviews
Received this game as a gift and loved it. As stated in other reviews, it was NOT difficult to understand directions, point of, or how to play. Read the directions once and was able to play with my 7 and 9 year old. This game absolutely enforces Biblical teachings and if you take the TIME you can reference each Biblie verse -with your own Bible- written in the playing cards. If you are educated you really shouldn't have a problem understand this game. You're just basically using the cards and dice to "battle" as my kinds call it. Fun game!!

pretty much, A Christian version of Talisman
This game is, pretty much, A Christian version of Talisman. You roll the dice, go left or right or into the middle area. You do quests in form events spaces or trial cards and you champion has a certain goals to aim for. Once completed, the character must enter the central location, the hall of faith and complete the final task to win. The art and the figures are finely made, bar the little amount of Red residue that comes of the health tokens, though that is easy enough to clean up and after washing the tokens, there is not much precipitate. I enjoy playing this casual game in between other more intensive ones and I have honestly learn't about various locations, characters and events in the Bible even after being A Christian for roughly seventeen years. It is a little strange that any Champion can do some of the events, but to win you will have to do your own. I guess the message is that though you can do many great things in life, we are called to do very specific things for God. Peace and God Bless :)

not that bad... great Christmas gift
Sure, the game is not a board game you pick up right away. It takes time and patience to grasp the majority of it and you are still left with questions. However, i think the game is a unique experience using biblical references as the base. The reason I gave it a 4 is the fact that some of the characters fall on territories or spaces that are inaccurate with the characters story line. I think this game still deserves a chance, a very thoughtful and fun gift I had the privilege to receive.
