This is one near slicer. It cuts all the way through the fruit. Love it for apples. I also tried tomatoes and oranges and they sliced amazingly well. The one I use the most is the blade for mangoes. I was amazed at how easy they are to cut. I haven't tried but I think it would also cut a potato up for oven fries with the blade used for tomatoes and oranges. This item is well worth the price.

After reviewing similar items for about 2 hours, I decided to go with this one...and I definitely made the right choice. I tried all three items and was amazed by the tomato cutter, it worked like a charm as well as the mango and apple. I was surprised by how well made and sturdy these cutters are and would definitely try other products made by Henshow.

To preface - I've only used this on apples. I keep forgetting to try it when I'm cutting up other fruits/vegetables. For apples, it works almost perfectly, with some minor caveats.Pros:- This is built better than other apple slicer/corers I've used. Specifically, the serrated blade plus base help cut through apples way better than other press-down slicers I've seen and used.- Being able to stack and store these is great.Cons:- I don't know if everyone with 5-star reviews just has access to perfectly symmetrical apples or is just better at positioning their apples than me, but I run into two issues with this. 1) If the bottom of your apple is not totally flat, then obviously it won't sit flat on the base. This leads to issues with centering the hole of the slicer, resulting in parts of the apple core being cut as well. 2) If the core of your apple is not exactly in the middle of the apple, you have to do some guesswork on the best angle and position for the slicer. For a bigger apple, this means you sometimes have to choose between getting too much core as part of your slices or one side of the apple not fitting against the edge as you're bringing it down to the base.- Be careful when washing - the serrated blade is great for cutting apples AND fingers. It's generally pretty easy to rinse, but when apple skin gets stuck on the blade or creases, it can get a little dicey (pun intended).Update: I finally sliced a mango. It cut super easily but, in order to accommodate for different fruits and sizes I think, the middle cut had plenty of perfectly good “meat” left that I still had to slice off manually. I don’t blame the product though - it was still less messy than slicing a mango the normal way.

Thus is my second apple core slicer. I is dishwasher safe. I set mine on sanitize ABC's the song process. The teeth are great. It totally sliced my pleats and apples and mangos le butter on a hot knife! I used it on my black plums too. I am a smoothie catholic! Do I prep a lot and freeze! That base was great. Ty

We purchased two other similar products from a well known local store before we purchased this one from Amazon.The previous purchases were horrible.Thus one works great, easy to use, slices like butter and does exactly what its designed to do.No regrets, wife loves it.

Mango slicer broke on the 3rd use. Apple wedger is not as sharp as one I bought at a different store. Started out great, but broke easily.

I used this for cutting apple and tomatoes wedges. Worked great - cut all the way thru. Having it stacked also keeps the sharp edges out of the way.

Mango slicer broke after about 3 uses. It you want it to last, don't use it. I just wanted a mango. It has killed my love of mangoes, and now my girlfriend has left me, due to lack of mangoes. DO NOT BUY!!!!

Works great so far and easy to clean!
