Jansal Valley Ground Sumac, 18 Ounce

This is a component of my NuLand Hot stuff Company Dry Rub. It adds a hint of citrus-acid to round the flavor balance. Was looking for bangnfor buck here and I received it. Worth ordering here, as the wholesale restaurant depot local does not carry such a specialty spice

I found this on Amazon and saw it was quite a bit cheaper than what I could find locally.The taste is at least as good as what I've previously found locally. The packaging is OK. However, I use a smaller container to dispense it and refill it as necessary. I'm pleased with it.

The product contains salt. There is no nutritional label showing the sodium content for all the people who watch their sodium intake. I hope the manufacturer can provide this information as soon as possible.

Love this stuff. I use it in so many dishes. It gives a really good background rich flavor and if use enough of it, you can really taste the great flavor. It is really good in ground beef and rice dishes but serves as a member of spice combos for almost all of the ones I make up. Will continue to order.

Great flavour

I came across sumac in a local Indian grocery and instantly fell in love with this spice. It has a deep lemony flavor. I was delighted to find this brand and happy to report that it tastes fresh, full of flavor and has a vibrant color.Note: this has salt already in it, so adjust your recipes accordingly.

This was for me an awesome buy, I love sumac for all sorts of Middle East foods.
