Furby (Gray/Teal)

Enough about how much kids' toys scared how when you were little and still do, I got it for my son and he loves it. It is entertaining to listen to and watch, especially when it starts speaking English, and it reacts to many interactions. The glowing dot matrix eyes are a bit cheesy looking, but i don't expect super AMOLED screens as eyes on a $50 children's toy, and they make for a wide variety of facial expressions. If you have an iPhone or iPad, there is a Furby app that let's you feed and translate your Furby, among other things. It adds a bit of fun to the experience and most people seem to like that modern addition to this classic toy from a time when Apple's biggest innovation was translucent vibrant-colored plastic on giant bubble-shaped iMacs(and they were considered "sleek" at the time). Oh how times have changed! Yet the Furby is still here...lol

I will never again buy directly from Hasbro. The allegedly new furby showed up in plastic wrap instead of the box which they normally are packaged in, also the furby itself looked dirty and dingy, almost like a known factory defect product. And to make matters worse, when we put batteries in it, it was completely broken, no Power at all....Was an awesome birthday present for my Six year old daughter /s. If I could rate this zero stars I would.

We purchases a furby for each grandchild in December. They are funny and cute even if they are a little maddening for some adults with their constant chatter. LOL. Be careful if you have more than one, as these creatures love to talk to one another and it takes a long time to stop.So first thing is that there should be an On/Off switch so that if one senses movement and starts chatting wake kids are asleep it can be turned off.Second thing is that they go through a lot of AA batteries quickly. Aain no shut off. You might walk into a room and hear them chatting.Third, our family ended up with 5 Furby's and so far two of them have just stopped working completely after the kids had them for only two weeks. That should not happen. These are not action toys and not the type of item hat receives rough treatment during play.AMAZON is great and replaced the one I bought there. Today I need to take the other back to a store to try to get a replacement there also.

This toy may be loud and annoying, but it is my 7 yr old girl's favorite toy. She even wanted to start a "furby club" at school. Apparently, this involves bringing your furby to school and talking in Furbish. She has a second furby because the first one stopped working a couple of days after Christmas last year. I felt so bad that her favorite toy was broken that I bought her a new one. It turns out that I did not read about the reset button, so the first one was fine. So, now she has two. They talk to each other, and she feeds them with her iPad. She is still interested in these toys 6 months after Christmas.

Ordered the Furby for a Birthday present for my son. The Furby arrived very quickly and in perfect condition, looking exactly as described. I only gave 4 stars due to the fact that I won't be sure if the product actually works until my son opens it on his birthday on Dec. 27th. I will be sure to get back on and update my rating at that point but so far I am very pleased with the ordering process and product and would highly recommend.**UPDATE**The Furby was exactly as described and my son loves it. He has had it for a year now and it still works and is in perfect condition. The toy never shuts off, not sure if it's an option or if my son just chooses to leave it on, so I hear it randomly talking or doing things during the day but as long as he keeps it in his room it's not really a big deal. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a Furby, it is cute if Furby toys are your thing.

The original Furby box was in bad condition. The box was opened and taped over on the sides and had several layers of tape. Looks like it was returned (I hope it was not returned because it didn't work).This was a very desired gift and we didn't have time to return it and buy another one and the person did not care for the package but we don't know if it works like it's supposed to.My daughter wants one for her Bday and I will not be buying one from Amazon.

Furby has evolved... As a first generation Furby owner, seeing this version was both familiar and strange. The animated eyes add much personality, and the new model can move much more than the old one. It's still a noisy motor device, but better than the original. And the unit has many personalities, but seems to switch them often, rather than slowly evolving like the original.The addition of iOS and Android apps to interact with it (they use high frequency sounds) adds a whole new level to Furby. If you liked the original, you will likely love what they have done with it.The new generation is a bit ruder, though. Especially the "cave man" personality.

I ordered a teal/gray furby. The box showed that color but inside was a turquoise/pink one. I need it for my grandaughter's birthday this Sat which is why I paid extra shipping costs. I would think for the price I could have gotten the correct one. Will have a disappointed little girl. I am not satisfied. Clpetersen@centurytel
