Grill seems nice, but some issues with packing?
Received my grill in a very reasonable time period. Fed Ex placed it right in front of my garage, so I figured I would just assemble it right there and roll it back to my patio. The box was in decent shape, the corners where the strapping goes were rolled a bit, but no visual damage to big box, or the box for the sidekick. Assembly was pretty simple, about 30- 40 minutes. As I was installing the sidekick, I noticed the side that would bolt to the grill was slightly dented, but would be hidden, so not really a big deal. Once bolted on, I did realize the front corner was a little tweaked, but again, its behind the grease cup and under the skillet. After assembly, I start to roll the unit to my patio, and feel the pre-installed handle on the pellet hopper to be a bit loose. I open the hopper and realize that this can't be tightened without somehow disassembling the hopper, and as I'm figuring this out, I discover the reason its a bit loose is the side it attaches to is also dented, but hidden by the giant silver sticker. Looking at the packaging, I can't see anything that relates to either dent and can only assume that both went into the boxes this way. Other than the slightly wiggling handle, everything seams to work well. Not exactly sure if I want to deal with the hassle, but I suppose I'll contact Camp Chef and see what the resolve is. I have other attachments on the way, I'm concerned as to the condition they show up.

Not recommended at all
Horrible quality control, arrived in a non- damaged box and yet the unit had a bent hopper that doesn’t open properly, bubbles and defects in the paint and rust in many spots. Can’t comment on how it works because this piece of garbage is headed right back where it came from.

Awesome pellet grill. Best on market below $1000.
I did a lot of research and I'm extremely happy with my Woodwind. I had a Green Mtn. Grill for 6 years before and Woodwind is better in every way. Flavor is way better, love temperature control, 2 levels, large hopper, and hopper dump. Love the smoke setting which puts of way more smoke. The ash dump is great so you don't have to clean inside as often. I don't use the side burner a lot but it is great for cooking down broth outside so it doesn't stink up the house.I also bought the front shelf and insulated cover. Works great in winter.

Love it!
My wife bought me this grill/smoker a few months ago. The best thing I can say about it that sums it up is: pretty much everything I smoke on it comes out as the best (insert meat) that I've ever had. Smoked ham, turkey, pork shoulder, pork tenderloin, beef tenderloin, salmon, chicken wings... all have been outstanding. It's versatile. I can cook two different things in the smoker with the two meat probes and they both come out great. I haven't tried reverse searing yet because it's so darn convenient to just fire up the propane grill and do it that way. You do need a separate accessory to grill the meat though. It's super easy to use. Just fill the hopper with pellets, turn it on, set the temp control to Feed until you hear a pellet drop in the tin cup and then set your temperature and you're done. Clean up is super easy too. You just pull a rod to drop the ash into a cup and empty it. I have vacuumed out the interior once even though it didn't really need it.The temperature control isn't bad but it isn't super accurate. To me, 5 stars is if you can keep the temperature within 2 degrees of the setting. This one is often 5-8 degrees off. After seeing it in action, two of my brothers-in-law got their own. That should be testimony enough!

They've made smoking easy!
I couldn’t be happier with this smoker! My wife and son are glad I bought it...and the rest of the family...and the neighbors...you'll become popular. I really haven't grilled much on this; when I do need to grill, I use a grill box (separate purchase) on the attached burner. But for smoking...I've done a lot! I've smoked a bacon wrapped venison roast, pork tenderloins, chicken tenders, corn on the cobb, brussel sprouts, ham, turkey, bacon (and candied bacon), and many other things. I don't think I'll ever go back to charcoal; the flavor of everything I've cooked far surpasses what I've done on my charcoal grill. You won’t be disappointed!

Great smoker.
I have had this smoker for a month I have made ribs a couple times, a whole mess of chicken thighs, 3 turkeys (not at once) and various other things. It works great it does not use as much pellets as it said it would which was welcome. Also the box was mangled when it arrived. We contacted the seller they said open it assess the damage. The hopper was caved in the rod that moved the heat deflector was bent the lid to the hopper was bent. They said they would take money off the purchase price we settled on 200.00. And I straightened the bent pieces that was a good resolution in my book. The smoker works great I have used it in mostly cold weather so far and it has still kept good even heat and not used as many pellets as I thought it would. I would recommend this cooker with the sear box make sure you order what you want sear box or griddle pay attention to what you are ordering they come either way.

Outstanding costumer service!
Outstanding costumer service!! Product arrived with shipping damage via fed ex, I notified Camp Chef and without hesitation was offered replacement and/or multiple accessories for the inconvenience that really wasn’t there fault. Service line answers very fast with real people and none of this working your way thru 20 automated options, while emails are quickly addressed also. As to the product, supper good flavor, temp control, great features for ash dump/clean up. What a well made and purposefuly engendered grill! Can’t go wrong with Camp Chef!
