Clover Soft Touch 5.5-mm Crochet Hooks, Size I (1009/I)

These are my favorite hooks to work with! Not only do they glide through yarn beautifully, but they also help with my slightly arthritic fingers. Love them!!!

These are my new favorite crochet hooks. For many years I used the old-style Susan Bates or Boye skinny aluminum hooks and was very satisfied. But as I got a little older I decided I should try something a little more ergonomic so I got one of these Soft Touch hooks and loved it so much I got them all! They're silky smooth as they move through the yarn and the short shaft suits me well. I hold my hook like a pencil and don't know if that makes any difference. I also find that they are less likely to split the yarn as I'm crocheting. They are a little pricey, but are so worth it, and buying them one at a time I could spread the cost over time. I'll use these for a good long time.

I wasn’t gonna buy a Clover hook because of the price Then when I saw you could get them individually. I was really happy. I received it today and decided to try it out. Oh, the yarn glides like a hot butter knife going through butter. It’s great, especially for my arthritic hands, it doesn’t snag on the yarn Like some of the other hooks do. I think the price on the single hook was great value for my money very comfortable.!!!!!!

The hook is really nice but the handle is a hard plastic and weird shape for when I knife hold my hook, which causes hand fatigue, but I switch between knife and pencil occasionally, so when I hold this pencil it doesn't bother me. But the hook is really smooth and I don't have any snagging when using this. But it is also pretty short and the plastic handle digs into my palm when holding it in knife position.

I would highly recommend this brand of crochet hook. I have been using them for years and for me they are more comfortable and cause less stress on my hands. This hook is lovely and the hook shaft looks and feels just like the hooks from their Amour Hooks. The handle is a little shorter than those same hooks also wider. So it's all down to what you prefer. I have very small hands so it was comfortable to hold, but if you have bigger hands than me, i can see you may require a bigger handle than this hook has. It has almost a brushed metal, very smooth shaft and smoothly glides with yarn. Love the Clover hooks. Always pleasant to Crochet with and makes any project a breeze.
