PIONEER DJ DDJ-RR Portable 2-channel DJ controller

I love this unit it's great for beginners it's small it's compact

First off this is a bit more of a serious controller. I think beginners can learn using this controller not a problem, in fact it’s very approachable given the layout of the knobs, touch pads and general controls. You have to be a Rekordbox devotee to use this controller, which onto its own right is fantastic and is head to head with Serato, plenty of reviews on that. The quality of the controller is superb, the tempo range slider could be more sizable but I’ve adjusted the software range within Recordbox to account for that. All of the inputs are more than enough, super easy to hook up to a laptop or speaker source/sound system. Platters are fine, feel nice. All the loop controls, sync buttons, fx, etc. all support and link easily to the software. Honestly nothing to complain about and I can’t wait to take this controller to the next level. If you can get this on sale, don’t wait!

Sin duda uno de los mejores controladores que hay en el mercado.La calidad de construcción es muy buena, la sensación al tacto es excelente y cuanta con todas las funciones para un desempeño satisfactorio.El controlador en definitiva se lleva 10 de 10. Pero... no tanto así su programa Rekordbox, seguro en el futuro será una muy buena herramienta, pero hoy en día no. Si tienes VDJ o Traktor te vendrá bien seguir usándolo con éste controlador, es compatible.

I needed a setup to get back into DJing, and after researching endlessly I bough the RR as I felt it was a good enough price to justify the expenditure for a small home system. I have to say I am not remotely disappointed with my purchase.The controller is RekordBox DJ native (bundled with the hardware), which means your tracks, playlists, cue points, hot cues etc will all travel seamlessly to another RekordBox setup (ie a club system, which almost invariably use Pioneer CDJs).The platters are big and smooth, the buttons and knobs all feel firm and give you the impression of quality when you are using them. There are a multitude of effects available to use on the system, which can all be layered to create some stunning sounds throughout your mix.The controller itself is only 2-channel, but can control up to 4 in RekordBox DJ with the flick of a switch on the RR. I myself am a Trance DJ and never need more than 2 channels so this is perfect for me as it is.The unit is fairly small and fits perfectly in the space I had allocated in my studio. I've been able to record my radio sets on it which sound as professional as anyone else's. This is an inexpensive DJ controller, but it isn't "cheap".Highly recommended.
