I bought two of these shaver sockets. They seem to be well made and have a rigid chassis which means that they don't distort during fitting. This is important to ensure that the facia can clip on securely, which isn't the case with some cheap alternatives. I found the screw length was adequate, although I can understand why some people would have preferred longer screws.I made sure that wiring etc was clear of the transformer unit during installation in order to help prevent vibration. So far, both sockets have been quiet during operation. You can still hear a slight buzz if it's quiet and you are right beside it, but only at a really acceptable level. You certainly wouldn't be able to hear anything outside a bathroom.They look pretty good too.

A great product. Half the price and looks better than identical products offered on the high street. Fitted easily and worked straight away. Very professional screwless finish. The only annoying thing as with all of these is that when using there’s a faint annoying buzz from the transformer but other than that it’s amazing.

A very nice shaver socket and easy to swap for my existing one.The supplier should provide longer flat head screws for fixing though because shaver sockets tend to have very deep back boxes and normal socket screws have rounded heads which will not allow the chrome faceplate to sit correctly. It is quite difficult to find the 75mm flat head faceplate screws required.

5 mins to remove old one and fix this one. Looks good, does the job better after old one (another brand) starting humming loudly

I bought it to replace an older Knightsbridge over 10 years old. It is very simple to put together, I would check the position of the terminals though before seeing if this one is suitable. I had to chock them with terminal blocks but the slimline transformer helped there.The chrome is thick coated and should not easily rust. It's been installed for a few months now in a steamy bathroom and still looks new.

As soon as I plugged something in, there was a loud buzzing sound coming from the unit. I spoke to an electrician and he said that the product was not functioning properly. Given the fact that I had only had it for a number of months, I can only say that the quality is sub-standard. You can not make mistakes when buying this type of product. I do not recommend this product and I will not buy from them again.

straight forward installation, great material, as displayed in the pictures if not even better.fits great to a standard socket, and feels robust and great to use constantly
