DOES work with Pixel 2
After hunting for an inexpensive version of this adapter that won't take 2 weeks to get to me at the cost of $15 shipping, I thought I'd found the right one. Guess not. Came in the mail today after a standard 2-day delivery, only to find out that it doesn't work, just like the last adapter I tried! Either the one I got was defective on arrival, or it just simply doesn't work with the Pixel 2. There isn't anything noticeably wrong with the cable, or my port, OR my aux cable, so I'm just assuming it just isn't compatible with the Pixel 2, even though it's advertised as such. Guess I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and wait yet another couple weeks just to get something that shouldn't be this damn hard to get.Edit: Okay, apologies to the maybe 1 person that read this review and are confused with it; while attempting to bypass whatever proprietary software Google has on this feature, i disabled USB audio routing via Developer options. If you've tampered with your dev. options like I did, make sure to re-enable USB audio routing!

These work with Pixel 2 (writing on 1/16/2019)
I just got this 2-pack and they are both working on Pixel 2. I'm using some cheapo Panasonic earbuds.- Audio quality is good.- Listened to some music on Spotify and both left and right channels are working.- Button on my earbuds work to start/stop music.- Long press button on earbuds work to bring up Google Assistant.- Make sure earphone jack is pushed all the way into the dongle until it snaps.- USB C has a satisfying snap when inserting into phone.

I'm guessing factory QA rejects...
The only good things I have to say is the adapters work with the Pixel 3 (not surprising considering support for the Pixel 2) and they sound the same as the adapter that came with my phone.Neither adapter is fully functional. One outputs left and right channel audio but doesn't respond to headset buttons, and the other responds to headset buttons but only outputs right channel audio.

Works on some devices, not all.
Purchased 2 usbc audio dongles for the pixel 2. My partner and I both have the pixel 2 (same make and model) and decided to get a third party dongle that had seemed to be more durable. I can confirm, the braded wire is definitely better than what is provided by Google. I did not notice any audio quality issues. However the dongle works perfectly with my phone, but is not compatible with my partners. Tried both dongles of course in both phones, but it would seemingly detect headphones being plugged in, however would still play through speakers. I am on update 8, while he is on 9, so I am not sure if that is the culprit, and I have yet to update to 9 because of this. I am giving low stars because it doesn't seem to work with all phones, despite stating it's compatibility to the pixel 2.

Braid cable is superior to normal cable! UPDATE: Stopped working 1 month in!
UPDATE 4/11: One of the adapters has already stopped working. Whether it's from my own carelessness with bending it in such a way that it messed up the ends or what, I'm very upset! I read on this page that Belker offers free replacement, so I went on their website and registered for the warranty. I then wrote an email to the address on the website, only for it to immediately bounce. That makes me VERY suspicious now... As a result I'm changing my review to two stars. You pay a few more bucks for the braid cable version of the adapter, HOWEVER any sort of braided cable lasts a lot longer than the default cable. I originally ordered the default variant in August while in the UK and my Google Pixel adapter broke, and Belker's adapters have seriously held up. I finally used up both adapters from August last month! They last so much longer than any other USB C to 3.5mm adapter that I've tried in the past, and it's almost sad that they've definitely beat the official Google adapter in both price and lifespan!I'm going to continue to use ONLY Belker adapters for my phone from now on!

The audio is much better than the adapters sent with your Google Pixel
My adapters wore out within a couple of months and I replaced them with these. They are much better in snapping on and staying on, seem to be sturdier and provide a better sound when recording audio or listening.

Pixel 2 Success
Great device and actually works. I recommend just leaving it on your pair of headphones so you don't lose it.

Play Pause does not work for me
Sound coming through my headphones is great and inline mic works.I'm using with a One Plus 6T. It makes a pop sound when plugged in, and the play/pause button on my Urban Ears Tanto headphones does not work with this adapter but does with the one that came with the phone.

Works well then doesn't
Worked well for about a month, the the USB C connection half starts to go.The issue seems to be having the phone in my pocket when using headphones, the movement of the phone in the pocket seems to degrade the USB connection until eventually it needs to be held in place for the device to work properly, then eventually it doesn't work at all.Cuts out frequently.

Great Dongle - Does the Job
I bought these as a replacement to my malfunctioning Razer Phone 1 DAC dongle. Automatically allowed me to listen to Media via my wired headphones. The great thing is I now have the versatility I used to have of being able to alternate between BT Headphones and wired. They solidly built, make a reassuring 'Snap' when the phono connection is made and a firm connection to my phone USB-C port. Actually really pleased with this purchase. I will update this review if I encounter any problems.

Good back ups but not a replacement
The fact that Google pixels official dongle takes a month to deliver I got these as backups and for when I walk to lesson the chance of damaging the official Google dongle.First offI haven't had issues them breaking or loosing connection to my phone like the official dongleBut one ear is far quiter than the other and the sound quality is not the best.If you want these for one ear music or audiobook listing while you walkI recommend themBut for a replacementYour best getting the official dongle with these as a back up

Nice Sound, until they break
I keep buying this product for my Google Pixel 2XL, hoping beyond hope that this time they will last longer than a month before they break.Previous issues have included:- Sound only transmitted through one headphone (and yes the headphones are fine)- Loose connection with the phone, so any accidental knocks (for example, walking) cut the sound entirely- Plugged in, but sound is transmitted through the phone's speakers- Occasionally picks up interference, i.e. static, feedback noise, and on one occasion the sound suddenly built up and gave me what felt like an electric shock(!)

Works Perfect with my Pixel 2
Does what it says on the tin, works exactly like the original adaptor that comes with the Pixel 2. It might just be my old adaptor but it seems to have a firmer connection and doesn't disconnect as easily in my pocket.Would buy again.
