Foundation Study Bible-NIV

I love this bible. I read it and use it every day. The study notes are great and give insight to the time period as well as insights into the context of the verses. Each chapter also begins with the theme and purpose of the book as well as rough time period of when it was written. Finally the NIV translation is my personal favourite. Easy to read and accurate.

I love this Bible for lots of reasons. + the quality of the cover is great. I have it a few months and it isn’t showing any wear to the bound. + the paper is good quality. If you don’t lean too hard on the highlighter it doesn’t come through much at all. I think you’ll probably find it hard to get any Bible without some bleed through. + the gold covering of the pages on the side makes it so special. + I like the notes in the Bible itself. They’re are a lot. There are reference pages making it easier to find topics at the back. Would I recommend to a friend? Yes I really love it. I started with St John’s gospel and really glad I got it!

Praise God for this awesome Bible I love it, the commentaries are great and help me dive deeper into God's word, it has already added such a new interesting perspective to my bible reading plan this year 2022. I also love how great the leather looks, very durable and most especially the pages, they feel so great when you turn them and unlike other bibles when you get them new, it's so easy to divide pages like you've been reading it for ages. So blessed by this, thank God for this purchase and God bless you. Would definitely recommend!

I Love this Bible! I ordered when I gave my life to Jesus and wanted to go deep in his word. It helped me so much to understand the word better and to grow in to who I am today. Also I love the introduction of each books and the contex it gives as I find that very important as well. I really recommend this study Bible! It’s a bit heavy so I can’t always take it with me but I have a more compact one that I tend to take it when I have to walk a lot or have a small bag.

Got these for some family members to encourage a bit more depth. A good bit of detail and the bible cover feels good.

Beautifully presented Bible, gorgeous binding, lovely feel and great maps and index. The reason I purchased this was to help me contextualise and understand different Bible passages, allowing me to interpret for myself based on theological notes, time and place. Unfortunately, the commentary in this Bible is moralistic in places, and states - as fact - contested interpretations of scripture including the well-known passage Romans 1: 26-27, which they claim states that homosexuality is wrong. There are many other interpretations of this scripture and evidence that it instead points to prostitution, idolatry and cultish sexual deviance rather than loving homosexual relationships as we understand them in the modern world. I am keeping the Bible, because I am enjoying reading the Word, and have crossed out the offending interpretations. However I will be more careful to purchase LGBTQ+ friendly religious literature moving forward. If you disagree with me, ask yourself: would Jesus love and accept LGBTQ+ people into His movement? Of course He would.
