I would take Bose over Sonos because......
Though the reviews weren't all that favorable, I had to purchase this and try it. Well, I am glad I did as mine works flawlessly with my Cinemate 130. I am very happy with it and my sound touch 20 + Cinemate 130 sounds so much more better compare to Sonos I had. Yes, Sonos are a little more flexible and easier to use but I would take the sound quality of Bose over Sonos any day. However, Sonos will play all your music and movie using all of your speakers if one desires but Bose would not. Bose would only play your TV and movies with Cinemate but music can be played with everything. As far as the price, my Sonos system cost me $1800 and this Bose system I now own is $1600 and commands my living room much louder. If anyone is torn between Sonos or Bose, my answer would be Bose.

Used and Not Working
Arrived on time. Exactly what I ordered. No visible shipping damage. Used as advertised, but does not connect with Bose SoundTouch app and Bose Home Theater System. Very disappointing. Don’t waste your money with this company on this product.

Works like a charm
Works like a charm. I love that I can listen to my favorite radio channels from Germany by just powering on my CineMate, press one of the pre-set numbers and there you go. Also, downloaded the app for my Windows Laptop and my Kindl Fire and it works great! Would definitely recommend it!

Caution: If you live in a Multi-Storey apartment with lot of Wi-Fi networks
This concept of playing music over the Wi-Fi is great! I have CineMate 120 and I bought SoundTouch Wireless Adapter as I would love to enjoy music from thousands of those options available. I installed the SoundTouch over the Wi-Fi. It worked fine for few minutes and then said "Searching for the Network" I said what the heck!! I called the Bose customer service. The guy who answered my call was gracious and very helpful. He sounded knowledgeable and listened to my problem and finally sent me an email with a link which made me download a small software which would help him get access to my desktop. He logged into my router and changed a few settings (Automatic to Manual) and asked me to check if the connection is holding still. To my excitement yes it was!!! I was thrilled. I enjoyed the music for few hours and thought this was it! But no.. story does not end here.. Again the same issue. Searching for the network message on the App. Well! I called Bose again, again a gentleman answered my phone, tried similar changes in the router but this time no luck. The connection was not established with all the permutation and combination of the setting changes on the router, repeated rebooting and so on. So what was the reason? I asked and he told me that you have close to 30 Wi-Fi networks and all trying to interfere with the connection and making it ill sustained. Okay what next? Is this a piece of junk should I return it back? He offered me a solution, he asked me how far is the SoundTouch Adapter from the router, I said around 12 feet, Well I do not want to run an ethernet cable of 12 feet across the room. What next? He offered me a solution and that is to buy https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006JG5S6U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Okay I did not even know that a device like this existed. Another $50 is it worth it? May be yes! I bought it, connected it and now finally I have a solid connection and is working like a charm. I have all the music being played on Wi-Fi with zero problems. I am sure if you are not living in an long city apartment you might not even face this problem. If you do live then you have a solution. If the router is close to your device you don't even need to buy a Linksys device. Hope this helps. Enjoy your music guys! I would have given 5 stars if Bose knew how to deal with this Wi-Fi interference. Hope they release a software fix or something.

Great Addition to Your Cinemate 120 Sound System
The Bose SoundTouch Wireless Adapter is a useful addition to your Cinemate 120 as it allows you to stream music from various sources. If you have other SoundTouch players you can add this to the group to play the same music throughout your house. The sound from this great. The new version of the Cinemate 120 now includes this adapter so Bose must think it is a good idea was well.

Garbage product, useless app, pointless when bluetooth is an option. DO NOT BUY
I can't imagine why this is priced at $99. This is essentially useless. The bluetooth adapter is superior in all ways. In order to use the wifi device you have to connect via the bose app, which is dated to say the least. The app rarely connects. The device uses 10 year old wifi technology. It is useless. From that app you can include use of different apps. The music from your phone/device is not a feature offered by this. It is not a general connection to your bose system, it is ONLY for use with their app.

Try using AppleTV instead.
I bought this device so I could stream music through the Cinemate in the living room and the Soundtouch 20 in the kitchen/dining room. The adapter works, but the Bose Soundtouch software is very glitchy. Often, it will crap out in the middle of a party, and you're scrambling back to your computer to get the music going again. As an alternative, if you have an AppleTV hooked to your Cinemate, you don't really need this adapter to stream music to multiple devices. Note that iTunes has a "multiple" option under Airplay (newer versions of the software), which allows you to send the same music signal to the AppleTV/Cinemate and the Soundtouch 20 at the same time. If I had known that a few months ago, I wouldn't have bought this adapter.
